Embree initially estimated he would sign between 12 and 15 recruits when asked in mid-December, but the number of available scholarships grew after coaches learned at the semester break that several players would not return to the program next season for various reasons. Those players include wide receivers Kendrick Celestine and Andre Simmons, defensive lineman Dakota Poole and safety Terdema Ussery.

 We actually recruited a rugby player? Thank God Hawk is gone.

With some football experience. David Dixon came to the US never having never played a down of football but grew up playing rugby and he ended up playing in the NFL for 13 years so it's not without precedence. Rugby players translate well to football and that background is probably part of why some of the Poly guys are so good.

I would be interested to find out where he ends up and if he sticks with football. Interesting kid and certainly has the athletic tools to develop into a really good player at DE, IMO.

This was due to the injury he suffered at the beginning of camp. University is supposedly going to honor an academic scholarship if he stays.

Oh wow! didn't realize the injury was that severe.

Too bad for Dakota, but glad that CU might step up and take care of him.
