Havent seen him get in any games lately, understandable, but I dont think he was even on the bench. Anyone know anything?

I was wondering the same thing last night. Maybe he's just sick. I feel like we would have heard about anything major by now.

He was on the Big Board last night, telling us what kind of movies he likes, etc. If there was a bigger problem, I suppose they would have chosen another guy on the marquee. And I was also wondering why he wasn't in there. I didn't notice if he was on the bench or not.

However it was good to see Eckloff get some good PT, and of course Beckley.

He was listed as ill. It appears he was staying away from the team to ensure everyone else stayed healthy.

He has the flu and has missed practice this week. He should be back to practice tomorrow, but he is still unsure if he will travel with the team this weekend against Missouri.

too bad, he would have gotten some good PT last night and we might have gotten to see that nice hook shot! oh well, get better Ben!

^^This. Would have been the perfect situation to ease him into getting minutes in the Big XII.

Honestly, even with Harris-Tunks hurt Mills should still be red-shirting. I think he'll be good down the road, but he wasn't even ready for the ****ty non-conference teams in Nov./Dec.

I've been thinking the same thing, but they didn't know that Beckley would be coming back, which made it seem like Mills was bound to have to get some minutes if Dufault ever got into major foul trouble.

So, where is Ben Mills? Hopefully in the weight room gaining 40lbs. I'd love to see this kid develop into a solid post presence for us. but it often takes a while with these 7 footers to fill into their frame and get some coordination. The hook shot is old school and i love it

The kid isn't going to gain weight. He eats more than anyone i know, and still doesn't gain anything. He is going to be a tough project

I'm not worried so much about weight gain with Mills. He'll always have a thin build. What's important is that he gets stronger. If he's better able to anchor his base, has the core strength to go up strong, and has the upper body strength to hand/forearm check as well as hold onto rebounds in traffic... then he'll be great. He has some skill offensively and, for a guy his height, gets up and down the floor pretty well with good agility. Hopefully he can redshirt next season and we'll have 3 years of him being a significant contributor.

I've been wondering about a potential redshirt for him next year. Think it would be a good idea. Damiene Cain should provide good help on the boards in the future. Sounds like he's a good defender in addition to hitting the boards pretty hard. Still, he's only 6'7 and will be a good 4, but of course won't be that conventional 5. Excited to get Shane Harris Tunks back - you have to wonder what could have been this year had he not suffered the injury. By all accounts he has vastly improved his strength and game. Andre Roberson is going to get better and better, kid has an incredible upside. So glad CU has him - only a freshman! In short, better days are ahead for our post game.

Then he's not eating enough. While some people do have faster metabolisms, that's no reason why you can't gain weight. Put him on a GOMAD diet if need be.
