Heading to KU on Saturday

So my wife and I have been talking about going to some more away games this year. I wanted to go to a bunch, but since my wife works in the schools, we were limited to weekend games. The past couple of days we were debating the KU game, I have never been to Allen Fieldhouse, and figure this is the last chance I will have to see a game I care about there (CU).

But anyway, we bought our tickets yesterday to go to the KU game on Saturday. Anyone else here going? I dont imagine there will be much of a CU crowd, but It would be nice to know if there were any going to be there.

We figured that since KSU beat them, we are a shoe in to blow them out....just joking, we are going to probably get killed

Even if youre the only cu fan there bring a sign that says "Coors Events Center East"

Find out who is broadcasting it and make sure to highlight those letters. I want that to be on the screen when I watch the game.

Has anyone here ever been to Allen Fieldhouse and have any suggestions/Tips for me? Or is there anything cool to see in Lawrence?

I am headed to the game. Never been to the Phog, but been in Lawrence numerous times and to the last few CU football games there. Make sure you head to Mass St., that is where the bar scene is. I will be there with two KU fans, my wife and her brother-in-law. Although I think I can get her to at least wear a Buffs hat. It was easy to make her a CU football fan, but as a native Kansan, she won't give up her Jayhawk basketball.

That is cool I guess, being from Kansas and all. My wife and I will be decked out in CU gear. I doubt there will be many CU fans there, but you can only hope.

Lawrence is a decent town, but if you can head to KC, great food.

I think Lawrence is as far east as I want to go, google says its a 10 hour drive, and we arent leaving tilll later tonight after work.

It shouldn't be 10 hours. It takes about 12-13 to drive from Denver to STL so I'd say more of a 7-9 hour drive at most.

Bring the sign. Oh and dont speed our car got nailed 2 times in an hour driving down for the football game, cops are everywhere and they dont have medians on the highway so cops can clock you going the other way and they flip a u turn and chase you down, it sucks.
