Nick Kasa may also be moved to TE....

I edited to keep it solely to this topic after moving from the McCulloch recruiting profile thread. - Buffnik

Your true religion jeans must be on too tight if not WTF?!?!

Adam had some scoop the other day that Brookhart would love to give Kasa a try at TE and extended an invite. Doesn't mean it's happening. May be that Kasa gets a look in the spring, at least as a guy who could come in as a short yardage/goal line 2nd tight end.

Leave Kasa at End, we have enough get TE. The TE position is strongest on the team with Deehan, Thornton, Slavin, Mobley, Griffon, Alex Wood in competition.

Didn't Florida tell Kasa they'd be moving him to TE and that played a role in him switching to CU?

I think the full pitch was that he'd start at TE with the potential of moving to LT. And, yes, that helped us in recruiting.

I don't really have a dog in this fight. Whatever Kasa and the coaches agree is the position where he can best utilize his talents, help the team, and have the best shot at an NFL career.

And with that, I'm going to split the Kasa discussion off to the Football Forum.

I see nothing wrong with what I made bold. I just hope it is nothing more than that.

It worked for the Chicago Bears to some extent, when Ditka used "the refrigerator Perry " in goal line situations.

Whats the worse that can happen?

Kind of sad when a 5 star DE is looking at changing positions potentially with his Jr/Sr season left in front of him. I was hoping he would have a breakout season this year sort of like Bowers from Clemson did last year.

It's not for sure but I'm sure Embo and company are trying to get the most out of him, and Embo knows TE's. Either way I hope he contributes and can have a solid career at the next level.

Please, I thought this stuff was over when we showed Hawk the door. No more. Kasa is a DE. His talents are on the defensive side of the ball. For the love of God, don't mess with a good thing.

Urban meyer thinks you are wrong and has from the begining. If Urban meyer and Embree think the guy is a fit at TE/OT then I am far more likely to trust them than the folks posting on here and Dan Hawkins...

I have no idea what is going with Kasa, but we seem to treat the defensive line like some type of bad science experiment. But hey, who needs a pass rush or quarterback hurries with the outstanding secondary we have returning?

Urban Meyer had so many D-Linemen he could afford to experiment with Kasa someplace else. Kasa was the gem of our recruiting class. He was one of 4 (or so) 4* and 5* D-Linemen to commit to Florida that year.

Maybe Kasa will turn into a good TE but I think given he has missed over two years of practices at the position will really hurt him.

really? What big plays did Kasa make at DE this year?

Embree knows what he is doing. I'm all in on what Embree wants to do.

It's my turn, you've been melting down over wr thomas for 2 weeks...

If they want kasa at TE so be it. I have less concerns with this staff than the last as far as situations like this.

Looks like CU won't be running a 3-4 defense. You won't be having 230-240 de on the line in that scheme.
