Didn't I see Solder telling a couple of reporters that he did a personal record of 21 presses? That's just weird if we have corners doing 24.

McShay had a report about Cam today...his interview questions. A guy with all the physical tools but concerns about his attitude. This has JaMarcus Russell written all over it.

I wouldn't pick him. He's dumb as a rock and I don't know if he can make the throws.

edit: Plus moral issues.

For NFL teams picking QBs is going to be a real problem as long as all these college teams are running the spread. These QBs can put up ridiculous numbers in college but just don't have the skills developed to play in the NFL. The can't make the drops from under center, make the play action fakes and go straight into their reads. They don't have experience making anything close to the multiple reads that the NFL requires.

Some will pick it up and develop into decent players, others will not do the work or just don't have the mental aptitude and will be bust.

Who knows if Newton will be one of the ones who actually makes it but a high first round pick and the associated contract, even if it is much cheaper than before with the new contract is approved is a big risk.
