CU had 14,000 shirts made and will hand one out to eveyone in attendance.
Not sure what they will say on them.

Why wear the color of your opponent at home? And White tshirts are cheaper than black ones, since when?

pretty much always, the cheapest bulk tshirt is all white. It's easiest to print and most likely to be in stock at that quantity.

If you are just buying one, no difference, but at 14,000 ...

At $1 more a tshirt I say do it right or don't do it at all this isn't your local middle school.

Yeah. Get mad about someone giving you a free shirt. The nerve.

I'm trying to tell you it ain't easy to get 14,000 of ANY color shirt except white, unless you have weeks and weeks notice. And somebody just thought of it, or we had enough revenue to think about it after the last few sell-outs.

It's a great gesture. Let's just get excited about what I hope is a really cool graphic.

white may not be one of our traditional "colors" but white-outs, provided the arena is full, generally look pretty cool.

works for me.

we actually do wear a white jersey on the road in football and basketball, we never wear French's hot dog mustard color (yellow) which some people seem to think is "gold". and mustard color is nearly always the color of the "freebie" T's you get or the student section wears at Folsom. not seeing the huge philosophical color crime, here.

^^ That. I'd rather a white shirt than a yella. And most shirts they give out don't fit right either. I'm not going to bitch about it. It was ****ing free.

They could never do this in Nebraska. Think how much fabric it would take to make 14k xxxl t shirts. There would be a national shortage

And that assumes that only their female fans show up.

guys make sure to bring the t shirt home and give to your ladies. She can wear it in the kitchen. It is important for the dishwasher to match the stove

Ok so i gotta buddy freaking out right now about the white. He thinks that the white combined with the husker fans in attendance in red will make it seem like a home game for NU. I told him basically to stuff it. The shirts are free, they will have black on them, it was the cheapest and fastest option for the AD, and o btw they are free.

Should it be a legit concern or is he just paranoid?

It does show that we fail when it comes to T-shirts. It will hopefully not look like a Nebraska home game with 6 minutes left and all the Nebraskan's have already left. Until then, it very well may......We're dumb

I had the same thought as your buddy.

How can you badmouth this (rhetorical question, please don't answer). This is a step in the program for our AD - giving something back to the fans and creating a good basketball atmosphere for once. Good move CU.

Exactly. This is sorta what I expected CU to do when I emailed Bohn about a month ago. Difference being I said we should use black shirts but still its about uniting the student section and creating a big time college basketball atmosphere. Its the right direction. maybe not the right color, but its a good step.
