CU Vs. ISU Wednesday 2:00PM

CU Vs. ISU Wednesday 1:00PM

Winner will face Kansas St. ISU is the worst team in the Big 12. There is no
reason why we should lose two games to them this year especially after beating
them by 30 points earlier this season. That being said I have no confidence that
this team can win away from Boulder. Last year we ended the season by hanging
101 points on Texas Tech only to get blown out by that same team 3 day later in
the Big 12 tourney. Given what is on the line, hopefully this team will step up, and
hopefully 1 win will be enough. It will be tough to beat K-State for a third time this
year especially with the game being in KC.

Here is the complete Tournament Schedule:

Well this is interesting. Hate having to face KSU instead of aTm in the quarterfinals, but first things first. Hopefully the Buffs are relishing the chance to straighten things out against ISU. The 'Clowns aren't as bad as their conference record shows, but there is no reason for the Buffs to not defeat ISU on a neutral court. They aren't going to have the fans in KC that they would most years...just play some defense and win the damn game.

Other games: Texas Tech played Mizzou tough in Columbia recently, but as irratic as the Tigers are, Tech is a disaster right now with Knight on his way out. Winner has that somewhat favorable game against aTm. Baylor has a loss to OU this season, but it's hard to see the Sooners winning. Baylor would get another shot at Texas with a win. Nebraska/Okie State should be a good one - If the Corn win, their game against KU will be somewhat intriguing as they've played the Jayhawks close.

Win one in the tourney, who knows if we get in? Win two, Id say a very very good chance. Better worry about one at a time with this squad.

That's 2 PM Central time right?

God, the Big XII couldn't have screwed me worse. I'm flying to Phoenix on Thurs afternoon when I hope the Buffs will still be playing. Hopefully I can catch the game at DIA until I get on the plane.

EDIT -- yeah, it's central time. So 1 PM Mountain.

So, it looks like the game will be on Altitude at 1:00 although it just says "Big 12 Tournament, First Round: Teams TBA."

It says women's tourney on Wednesday and men's on Thursday. Do we have confirmation officially that it is Wednesday for the men?

Thank God I had my flight info wrong. I'll be able to see the Buffs game before booking it to the airport. Then I have to pray my flight isn't delayed so I don't miss the start of the Nugs-Suns game.

What time is your flight?

Altitude channel 681 on Direct TV. They also have the low def alternate channel at 682 that most of the CU games ended up on.

Silly question, but would 681 be the same channel in NoDak? I don't have satellite so I don't know.

WTF is the Big 12 Network and what channel is that on?

It's not an actual station, it's the slate of Big 12 games and they call it that. Basically it's the regional broadcast tie-ins of the conference and you can find it on the conference web site.

Altitude is classified as a regional sports network and the channel number would be the same for everyone in the region. Altitude is available in NoDak.

I am more than a little worried about this game.

Historically speaking, ISU has traveled pretty well to the KC tournament. They were great in the Big 8 days and pretty decent, today. I would expect a decidedly ISU crowd.

I am a lot more confident about this one that I was last week's.

:iagree: If the Buffs don't win this game, they don't deserve to be in the NCAA tournament. If that is not enough incentive to take this opponent seriously - and take them out early - I don't know what incentive would work for this team. I look for a blowout win - and I rarely am on the over-optimistic side ...
