ESPN to televise CU-Hawaii game?

Any chance they'd move it to Friday night in that case? Seems like ESPN does a WAC game just about every Friday night

Really hope we're on ESPN for that one. We need to live on national television next year to make up for the revenue beating we're taking with the conference switch.

I've heard that there's a chance the Hawaii game might move up as early as Thursday, Sept 1st.
Things should finalize by June.

Not a chance, its a school night and the profs don't want to deal with the increased noise, traffic or tailgating.

Screw that....certain there would be a lot of pissed off Buff Fans who've already booked their flights for that game (including me), don't think they can change the date (time, yes) if they've finalized them and sent tix/schedule out to ticketholders

+1 I'm spending enough as it is without having to change flights. Keep it on Saturday please.

I question whether the CU AD has any idea how many fans have already booked airfare and lodging.

I don't think you'd want to play a game in Hawaii and make it a Friday game given the travel for both the team and the fans.

Hawaii is 3 hours later than Colorado. Traditionally Hawaii games start at 5:45 island time.
For the dozens of CU fans remaing on the mainland, they'd be getting an 8:45P kickoff. The east coast will be tucked in.

Optimally, ESPN considers CU@Hawaii one of the better games when compared to the huge cupcake fest that most BCS programs will be serving up. A 1PM Saturday kickoff Island Time would just about be perfect for a national audience. But it wouldn't be a surprise of ESPN likes Auburn-Utah State or Alabama-Kent State for the best time slots.

If ESPN offers the Hawaii and CU AD (best Dr Evil voice) "One Billion Dollars" to play on Thursday or Friday, whatchu gonna do?

They did it for the WV game and screwed my travel plans. If CU gets paid to move to Thursday, they will. It will also give them a couple of extra days for CSEwe in a schedule with no bye weeks. Hope you planned on going early if they get offered to move it.

Given how the P12 is serious about exposure, we could see more Friday night games down the road.
