ESPN is really talking us up

The silver lining is that ESPN is devoting their entire selection show demonstrating their disdain for us not getting in.

Super disappointing. But, really, despite everything else, we did this to ourselves. Bad losses at San Francisco, Harvard, blOwU, bailor, and Iowa State - combined with the ridiculous strength of schedule - put us out. Win 1 or 2 of those games, and it's not even a question.

Really feel bad for Cory Higgins, Relephorde, and (probably) Alec, as those guys deserved a chance to experience "the Dance".

U$C lost to TCU, Bradley and Oregon State, who are all worse than any of the teams we lost to. VCU lost to South Florida, Northeastern and Georgia St. All worse losses than any of ours. Clemson lost to South Carolina and Virginia. UAB lost to ASU. Worse loss than any of ours. And Clemson, VCU and UAB, combined, have half as many top 50 wins as we do. Sorry, but I'm not going to go along with the "it's all our fault for not going undefeated" line...

Totally agree

there is some truth to this. We did blow some winnable games.

There is no justification for this. All of you that say we did it to ourselves can leave. Everyone except for the people on CBS consider this a Crime. No one understands how you keep us out and put USC in... It doesn't make sense even with our SOS. Our wins speak for themselves. We have a better resume than just about half the teams in the field.

Quote from a German guy who loves NCAA BB on Twitter "Checked the Tweets. Everyone seemed fine with it. Tuned on the ESPN Selection Show and all seemed to break loose. I´ve never seen Jay Bilas this angry."

I guess he should check tweet somewhere other than the media outlet he works for.

I'm not going anywhere.

All I'm saying is that if CU took care of it's business - winning 1 or 2 more very winnable games, there would not have been any question today - we would have been in without doubt. Do I think that we should have been picked ahead of USC, VCU, or several others? Sure. But that isn't my point here. We gave the committee a reason not to pick us, and they took it.

The fact that they had to try and find a reason to exclude us really bothers me.

I dont know how as a selection committee you defend your choice to include Clemson or UAB or USC or VCU over CU. Win what most people look at is wins we have them. We have impressive wins. Those four do not.

He doesn´t work for either ... Mandel and others made excuses for CU´s ommission ... apart from Lombardi and other Colorado guys, nobody really seemed to raise a stink about CU. Dick Vitalte did so later on.

hubert davis, digger phelps, jay bilas......

That is OOC. Overall SOS we're #70. UAB #76. VCU #85.

So it sounds like they rewarded UAB and VCU for playing a tough non-conference schedule even though they play in a weak-ass conference. The bottom line is out overall schedule graded out tougher than theirs.

Perhaps there is a "CU doesn't travel" or "CU doesn't have good neilson numbers" bias that is covered up by the OOC SOS smoke screen.
