3/16 - NIT discussion thread

I'm not going to laugh until I see that we come out sans post-bubble letdown.

VaTech is killing Bethune-Cookman - we need to do that.

Oh don't really know about that Roberson charge call. Definitely got away with one there :D

Fuskers getting blasted by 25 in the 2nd half @ Wichita State

I'm down in Mexico for Spring Break and I go over to the sports books to see what games were playing and maybe place a few bets.

I see Nebraska +4 and Colorado State -6.5 against Fairfield (who the **** is fairfield) I hate these guys but figured might as well make some money off them in the NIT. NO! these ass clown, sheep ****ing, red necks both go out and get their ass' kicked by nobodies. Last time I ever bet on nebraska or csu!

44-29 at the half. Cu will run them out of the gym in the 2nd half. The altitude will do it's thing also.

Buffs -22.5 I wanted to bet on them but 22.5 is a hell of a lot of points.

No ****. That's the kinda line where you feel good because we're up 30 with 3 minutes to go and then some punk freshman of theirs chucks up 4 threes in a row and you've lost your nut.

Uh ... guys ... are we NOT playing well?

Guess what ... winning the NIT (while it still sucks we didn't make the Dance) is still better than going down in the first round of the NCAA ... or maybe even the second.

Can we get behind this team or not?!?

Winning the NIT is not better than going one and out but I guess I'll settle for the NIT.

Buffs win 88-74. Offense was good, defense was not. If cu wants to beat cal or ole miss, they won't do it if they play the same defense they played tonight. This should have been a bigger blowout.

Higgins, Burks and Roberson were a combined 21-22 from inside the arc and 19-24 from the line tonight

I am really beginning to believe that our getting left out has been a blessing in disguise. If we had gotten in probably as a 12 seed we might have gotten knocked out in the first round and nobody would have really talked about us. However since we got hosed we have been the story of college basketball(and Jalen Rose's ridiculous comments) since Sunday. I know our story will fizzle out by tomorrow because the real rounds begin but I cannot ever recall a period in time where the focus of the college basketball scene was fixated on CU for more than an hour.....

Higgins and Burks were a combined 14-15 from inside the arc and 18-23 from the line tonight

roberson had a good game as well. Knutson struggled a bit.

More concerned about the defense for next game.

Anyone know the attendance tonight?

This was the game to be worried about.

Letdown from the bubble burst, easy to overlook SWAC opponent, etc.

Next game will see a better effort, IMO.
