Jordon was named his team's Special Teams MVP for his work as a returner and was also named 1st Team All-Conference as a Wide Receiver in 2011.

From the early reports I have seen, it sounds like there's some mutual interest with CSU. He has camped there and been an unofficial visitor for a game.

I've seen him play. He sure seems a lot faster than 4.6, but maybe that's because he was playing against my HS alma mater, and they don't really have many fast guys. :smile2: I'll try to catch a few Prairie View games this season.

Looks like CU is showing interest.

The 6-foot-3, 175-pound athlete from Brighton, Colo., averaged 8.3 yards per rushing attempt, 14.2 yards per catch and 36.0 yards per kick return as a junior. He also excelled as a defensive back.

"Jordon is tall, talented and athletic," said Prairie View head coach Rocky Schneider. "Football is his main sport but he also plays basketball and he can jump out of the gym. He is unbelievably agile. I have never seen a kid run under 4.0-seconds in the pro-shuttle before and he clocked in at 3.9-seconds."

247 Sports was really impressed with Vaden on the first day of the Badger Elite 7-on-7 camp:

With great length at wide receiver Vaden quickly asserted himself as one of the top wideouts in the Las Vegas event. The Colorado native currently holds one offer from Colorado State and is close to an offer from Colorado as well but the way he played on Saturday could prelude plenty of out of state interest as well.

At 6-2.5, Vaden has good size but seems to play with even more length that his measurables would show. He has the ability to catch the ball in a very wide range and he made perhaps the catch of the day when he left the ground, contorted his body in mid-air and made a one-handed catch in traffic over the middle. That kind of fearless attitude combined with unique athleticism and skill is a rare find and it looks as though Vaden could see his stock climb quickly.

Vaden's really serious about his academics. He's thinking Sports Management for his degree and is trying to get his high school academics in order so he can graduate early. Possibility here that he'd be available for spring ball next year. CSU's still his only offer, but the 2 picking up are CU and KSU.

I've heard that CU has a good shot if/when we offer. He likes us a lot.

Those 2 simply do not belong together in the same paragraph.

another early enrollee to count back to this years class. That has got to improve his chances for getting that CU offer.

He looks like a pretty damn good player to me. Oddly agile for his size. Reminds me of Jeffrey Thomas actually, difference being Thomas looks a lot quicker, where Vaden looks like he has better body control. Not sure about his competition level, but he supposedly looked really good at that Vegas camp awhile back.

I actually like the 3 CO guys that we aren't offering quite a bit. Kevin Davis, Thomas Singleton, and Vaden. All 3 look like good players to me, albeit projects.

Thanks, White.

I don't see Vaden as a guy we take an early commitment from. But I like him a lot. Definitely the type of player who I'd like to see take an official visit to CU in the fall. And if we still have a WR opening at that time, I think we'll all end up happy with what we get if we end up signing him.

Got rated a 2* on Rivals and a 3* on 247 Sports. Also picked up several more offers.

Don't take this the wrong way, but aren't we kind of set at the WR position for this class? Unless a game-changer comes along, do we really have room for another WR?

Good question. I think we are set unless we land one of our top targets. 3 is a good WR class, especially after taking 3 in 2011.

Good luck to him. I like him quite a bit actually, but I'd rather be taking WRs from TX than lowly rated kids from CO. The less CO players the better imo, sadly.

Agreed, however there are some exceptions (ie. Clay Norgard and Tyler Henington) but for the most part I'd take a Texas kid over a Colorado kid.

Yeah I definitely am not advocating not recruiting Colorado or something, but if we have options in a state like TX, give me those prospects over the CO ones. I'm pretty sure Norgard could play touch football all throughout high school and still be the man in college. You can't teach his kind of drive.

Or his leadership. We need a vocal leader in the worst way that isn't a coach.

FYI... I'm from Brighton and heard some rumors last week from some people in the know that he lost his offer to CSU or is at least in danger of losing it. Sounds like an academic, integrity issue with this kid. Doesn't have a great reputation.

Man, CSU's class is really lacking this year. I'd like to see them improve right along with us.

I hope you're right. I think he's the best player in their class.

Bummer. Not too many kids from Brighton get to go D-I. I hope things work out for him.
