I don't know whether he's a scholarship athlete or a preferred walk on, but he's a member of the CU football team now.

Known more as a track athlete in California, Brisco was also All-Leage as a DB this past season (North Coast Section, Hayward Area League).

Received some scoop this morning that he has submitted his paperwork to CU and was able to find on the O'Dowd web site that Brisco is coming to CU: http://www.bishopodowd.org/s/770/sub_level3.aspx?sid=770&gid=1&pgid=557

Welcome to the Buffs, Brandon!

I think it's Brandan.

I did, too. But it's spelled with an "o" on Bishop O'Dowd's web site. Also, most of the track & field event reports spell it with an "o". OTOH, it sounds like his application spells it with an "a" and it was also spelled that way when he was listed for the All-League team (LINK).

I'll switch it to an "a". But anyone searching for more info should try it both ways.

So does he get a scholly that is now open b/c of cuts?

Trying to find out. Since I've got about zero sources, I gave the story to Adam, Kyle and Andrew to see if they could get the details.

who says their is no college waiver wire hahaha Welcome Brisco, Hope you kick some butt in the Black and Gold

Brandon Huffman got back to me on the Scout board. It looks like Brisco is going to be a preferred walk-on, but Huffman is going to follow up with the coach at O'Dowd to find out for sure.

You'll find Huffman to be a great recruiting source for Scout on West Coast Players.

And best wishes Brisco!

Adam also got a profile added to the Rivals network (linked in profile) and has published a new article: http://colorado.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1215268

"Knowing that there are some open spots there at cornerback is really big. I can come in and compete," he said. "I feel really good about the situation and opportunities that I will have at Colorado. ... I am trying to go in and make an impact early."

I look forward to watching Brisco's career at CU. Here's hoping he earns that scholarship.

looks like he grew 3 inches recently. He was 5'8" on Maxpreps and 5'11" now on Rivals. Maybe he's still growing?
