Scout: Son of former Georgia Tech and Buffalo Bill Mark Pike. Playing linebacker as he waits his turn at quarterback the position many project him to play at the next level.

That's a thick limbed kid. He kind of lumbers when he runs but gets going in a hurry and has some power to his play. He's fun to watch play. VERY nice arm. He has some poor mechanics but he's got a howitzer sitting on his shoulder.

You can easily fix mechanics with repetition and good form from the QB coaches and with an offer list like that the kid has potential! I do hope that Stevie can beat out anyone though and become one of the greatest QBs to play at CU.

Wow. That offer list is the size of a phone book.

Still growing. I just updated it and it's getting to the point where it might be easier to list the BCS programs that haven't offered.

Fwiw, my guess at this point is Florida State.

Set to announced Wednesday, looks like it's between Auburn, Michigan and Purdue

Auburn is about to be put on about a 100 years probation. Purdue sucks, I know because Wally said so. That leaves meatchicken.

Either him or Kiehl Frazer is gonna ride the pine. I see a transfer esp with Malzahn with one foot out the door

Props to Boulder Buff, I think you called this one yesterday. I really thought that Michigan would have been a better choice for the kid; I don't see Auburn continuing at the level they were at last year. But good for them. I know one of the in-state OL kids has been checking Auburn out, so hopefully he won't get caught up in the hype.

Auburn and Ohio state are two programs I would be very leary towards commiting to if I were a high profile recruit right now.

Very underwhelming at the Elite 11 camps over the weekend.
"Zeke Pike, Edgewood, Ky., 2012: There's really no way to sugarcoat this one, Auburn commit Zeke Pike was very underwhelming in terms of his ability to throw.

Pike is certainly a big, well-built kid that will be a load to tackle once he spends some time in a college weight room. But when it comes to being a high level passer, Pike wasn't even close.

To be frank, there weren't even flashes of brilliance. If I saw one pass that had a nice, tight spiral I can't remember it. If anybody wants to know why Notre Dame never moved on this kid in terms of a scholarship offer, today tells me why. He's not an elite level passer, at least not yet."

Sounds like the Auburn coaches got a good look at Zeke, didn't like what they were seeing, and the public drunkeness charge gave them a good excuse to free up another scholarship. Well played, Mr. Chizik. Well played.

You're not far off here.
