Carlon Brown gets a mention, yahoo article about impact transfers

Nice to see. We desperately need Carlon to be a consistent double-digit scorer for us next year (with efficiency). One of the big keys to the 2011-12 season.

It will be interesting to see how Brown does against the Utes in a conference game. In addition to that, I'm curious to see what kind of a team the Buffs first Pac-12 team will look like.

Basketball (and football) can't come soon enough!

we need someone who can put the rock in the hole, but i think there'll be some rust and hopefully not too much immediate pressure on CB to produce early.....but, yeah, we need someone who can create their own shot off the dribble. something in the neighborhood of 15 ppg would be nice. we really do lose a TON of scoring. Andre will get his and i like Sharpe to contribute.....i'd like to think Dufault can step up since there will be a lot more shots to go around....get into double figs avg....but he's tough to gauge. you think he's turned "the corner" and then disappears for a game or two.

Won't need as much creation off the dribble this year, thank god. Tunks! Cain! The screen setting wrecking crew is coming!

Great move by Boyle to get Carlon in here knowing that Higgins and probably Burks would be gone. He'll be our leading scorer. I was hoping we'd go after Royce White too but the legal problems were probably too much. Still we probably could have found a transfer better Chen who averaged just 2 ppg playing at a mid major. If we can't find a quality player this spring for our last scholly, we should try and add another transfer. I'm a big fan of the Iowa St. stradegy. Like Brown, Utah's leading scorer and rebounder from this past year is leaving, he would be a nice pickup.

You mean pull in as many troubled athletes as you can and pray that the local police/school administration lets things slide? Yeah, because that works so well in Boulder.

I think the Iowa State 'philosophy' will backfire on them. Recruit talented quality kids just like Boyle is doing and the program will be fine.

Thinking of next year's team, I think we could be a lot like Texas A&M, a no name team that plays hard and gets after it defensively.

True Dat!

I also think we need to use Austin in that role more. You'd think he would be pretty strong at setting a screen and then sliding off to be there for an open jumper if the defense collapses to prevent dribble penetration from Brown.

dufault, god bless him, sets screens so soft they could appear in a charmin commercial.
