CU is the first offer for Kafovalu.

He was All-CIF Central as an OL and the AIGA Foundation (Pacific Islander football blog) named Kafovalu Honorable Mention Inland Elite for 2010 at DL.

Be nice if we could get a photo.

His brother, David, is a lineman at Oregon. I would assume they might have the inside track if they offer.

Another guy our staff was the first to offer before several other schools jumped in. A potential third DT in this class?

He definitely looks like a DT to me. Him and Teddy Queen are future DTs imo.

I love to see our staff being the first one in way before all of these others schools. Maybe it doesn't always matter in the end, but for others it seems to cause us to stick out. Kyle Kelley comes to mind on that one.

I would like to add that this kid is very humble, very talented, and very appreciative of the offers from all schools. He is exceptionally appreciative of the Colorado offer and I know a visit will follow soon.... He has another brother playing defensive end, a sophomore in H.S.

Do you know him personally?

I took this last week during his interview....No Problem! Already have. I am excited for his senior.....I will say he is really excited to come out and visit.

I think he is good as a DE and DT.....that's hard for me because this kid is quick on his feet and can "BULL" down...I'm going to go with both although some would say DT because he has more opportunties/get involved-in tackles.

Thanks for posting this one. I used it for his profile photo. All the ones on Scout showed the "UCLA" on the camp shirt. Nice job cropping that out.

Any "BEAST" named Samson is welcome in the Black & Gold...so long as noone cuts that hair off :smile2:

Glad to see our new staff again recognizing talent and making the first offer while the rest of the Pac 12 follow suit

It's pretty much a requirement that he sports the Troy Polamalu look, right? :smile2:

Yes! Truly agree!!!!!!! Thank you Colorado!!! You rock! Goooo black and GOLD!!!!!!

Adam has a great front page interview with Samson on the Rivals site this morning. Sounded like Tui and Cabral are forming a strong relationship with him.

Loved this quote: "They were my first offer. My whole wall is mostly Colorado stuff in my room because they were recruiting me before all these other schools. I look forward to having that visit over there."
