Sorry, maybe it's just me, but Tyler Hansen seems to always stake claims and not back them up. We need big things out of him this year obviously, but come on man.....

Instead of running and lifting three times a week during their offseason conditioning program as in the past, the Buffs are conditioning four times a week. Player-organized seven-on-seven drills retain the same schedule, but with a renewed purpose.

"It's probably one of the top strength and conditioning programs in the nation," senior quarterback Tyler Hansen said. "Once people find out and we start having results on the field, people will take notice of it."

Hopefully I'm one of these people who "take notice". Buffalo up Tyler. No more excuses.

I don't see the problem with him saying that. Blacken is a seasoned NFL S&C coach who knows how to get the best of the players in the weight room. We'll see the results as soon as we see the Buffs run onto the field in their physique and definition.

It's obvious that your reaction to that quote is based on an existing opinion of Tyler and not what he actually said. I'm trying to figure out how that quote could bother someone.

No big deal. This season will decide whether he backs up his confidence and turns you into a fan of him or whether his play cements your negative impressions. Not much he can say or do to sway anyone until we start playing games again.

I like your username. I want it to be a new trend. Can a moderator please officially change my username to White Rugged, please?

Seriously Rob what the hell is your problem man? Whether its true or not, having positive things to say about the program is never a bad thing. I'll take this kind of comment any day of the week over something negative. At least some of the leaders on the team are buying into the program and starting to believe and thats the first step to getting any type of results. Some of you guys on this board are really something. We aren't getting 5 star recruits with like 15 BCS offers and you all are flipping out. The new coaches haven't had a single down of football yet and we are a program that hasn't had a winning season in half a decade so what do you expect??

CU wins the offseason like no other school in history. While I think there is more to Rob's rant than this particular story setting him off, the superlatives that have come out of the offseason training/practices over the last several years have been really funny at times.

As far as recruiting, our momentum has stagnated and we just lost our #1 target at TE to a divisional rival. While it is not time to panic, just brushing aside our recruiting struggles does no good either.

I agree with you on the recruiting. Hope we do not have to settle for a bunch of so called diamonds in the rough recruits.

To me, anyone who has let his Redshirt be pulled midseason, twice actually, to help his team win, is allowed to vent a little. I didn't see anything in his quotes to be remotely upset at but everyone reads things differenly. I thought he handled the last 3 years with class, unlike his so-called HC. We should still have him next year if DII Dan hadn't clusterfuc*ed everything the past 5 years. We will miss him ALOT next year when we have to break in another QB.

For the record, I have been disappointed with his progress and consistency but I blame alot of that on the situation, and coaching, he was tossed into.

Go Buffs!

Guys, think about this a little. These recruits were toddlers or not even a glimmer in their Daddy's eye the last time we were really relevant on a national level for any period of time. The only way we are going to get the top talent is to change the culture and start being ass-kickers on the field. Embree and staff will get that done. They will also pick up a few ass-kickers on the way. That said, we aren't going to compete with Texas/OU/USC/Oregon etc... for the top recruits nationally until we put a few good seasons together back-to-back. I believe that will happen. I also believe we will win 7-8 games in year two and will be off to the races by year 3.

"I also believe we will win 7-8 games in year two and will be off to the races by year 3."

I think this year we'll be much better than next year. Hansen/Stewart have played in games for 4 straight years. They will be missed mucho. We also lose tons on the OL and Clemmons. We also lose some good DL. Next year will be a rebuilding year. We have to make it count this year and pull in a top 25 recruiting class.

The schedule will be far more forgiving in 2012 than it will be in 2011. We will likely have a better team this year than last, and have fewer wins to show for it. Similarly, we will likely have a worse team in 2012 than 2011 but with a better record.

No. White Rugged. Just like black rob. Everyone should do this. Moderators, please change me.

White leftybuff, leftyWhitebuff, leftybuff whitey? None of these really sing, I would like an exemption....

Jesus, chill out. All I'm saying is that I've personally been irritated by some of the claims the kid has made that weren't backed up. That's all.

I except the fact that he's not surrounded by talent and has been in a messed up situation for the past few years, but the fact of the matter is HE HASN'T BEEN A GOOD QB AND NEEDS A ****LOAD OF IMPROVEMENT IN ORDER FOR THIS TEAM TO HAVE ANY CHANCE.

Buffalo up Tyler. No more excuses.

Well, the guy did have his spleen ruptured while running for his life in DII's "offense". You can be critical of his play, but saying "Buff up" seems to question his heart. I think others read it that way too, even if that wasn't your intent.
