Flores transferred from Cherokee Trail to JK Mullen prior to last season. After sitting out due to transfer rules, he ended up being a top starter for Mullen's state champion team. Seems to be an "on the rise" player right now that moved into Rivals Top 10 Colorado Players to Watch for 2012:

New Rivals article. Sounds like he's pretty interested in CU. If we decide to offer, it may help with Miles since they've been friends since they were 5 (not that I'd sign him for that reason).

Flores says he is being contacted by Oregon, Colorado, Kansas State, Wisconsin and Penn State. Flores plans to attend Colorado’s junior day.

Scout Colorado Prep story: http://hscolorado.scout.com/2/1050364.html
“As Mullen’s left tackle, Flores will be in charge of keeping the Mustang’s prize possession, QB Cyler Miles, safe and clean.”

"CU told my coach that they are watching my film," Flores said when asked about the Buffaloes. "I really like that program because it is in Colorado close to family. I like Boulder. It is nice up there."

Damn. 6-6, 295 as a high school junior. Kid can't be older than 17 and he's already big enough to play in the NFL. Sick.

I remember doing the chains when BHS would play Mullen and they'd have 5-6 kids just like this. Amazing.

Plays alot like like Orlando Franklin, the 2nd round pick of the Denver Broncos. He is a project, just needs to improve his technique, has the power to dominate both in the running game or passing game, even though he is not getting a lot of recognition in the recruiting cycles. This guy might have the highest ceiling among the OL that we recruiting in state.

Ranked 77th OT in the nation. I have a feeling that ranking is going to get better after his senior season.

Man, would love to get somebody on the board on the OL. This kid has a good frame and I think he's being slept on a bit more than usual because of the strength of recruits CO. has at the OL position this year. Hopefully we're in on this guy... the early comments sounded positive but the same was said for Callahan and Thurston... plus he's at Mullen, double negative.

For the record, he looks like an interior player or RT. He'll take a few years to develop. His run blocking looks good, his pass blocking needs a little refinement.

If we can't expect to beat Utah for an in state recruit then we should just join the MWC.
I'm just saying they've gone 50-15 since 2006 with 4 bowl wins with one of them being a BCS bowl, all the while working with $1 million/year from the MWC.

Flores is a family guy loves the Boulder campus. I am glad to read that UCF and Vandebilt are not among his final 3. We have a very good chance to get a commit from him.

Don't be so sure. I heard Utah won like 50 games the last 5 years in the MWC. I'm pretty sure they're a recruiting juggernaut.

I'm just saying that they've been pretty impressive the past 5 years while we've been utter and complete dog **** rolled in cow **** thrown into a sewage plant.

 I agree they have done alright. Hawk had a similar record at Boise, just sayin'. I think they take some serious steps backwards playing the big boys week in week out.

I agree 100%. I see 8 wins max for Utah now that they play a real schedule and I actually had this same discussion with a Utah fan a couple of weeks ago but he didn't seem to acknowledge that they played an easy schedule (he said they played the top OOC schedule since 2000, I called bull****). But fact is recruits don't break down the schedule. They look at the wins and who they played in a bowl game.

He's not the prospect that Callahan or Thurston are... Kozan either for that matter. That being said, he looks like a pretty damn nice run blocker and we need some guys who can push the pile and move the LOS. He would be a nice commit for CU. His future lies at LG/RG/RT most likely.
