Probably an Oklahoma lock if they offer. Dad played there, mom went there, and brother goes there.

He has taken unofficial visits to Oklahoma and Texas Tech, so those are the teams to watch.

New Scout article published today:

Williams said he began talking with Coach Bobby Kennedy when he was the receivers coach for the Longhorns. Colorado hired Kennedy in December to oversee the same position for the Buffaloes.

"When he went to Colorado, he offered me," said Williams.

Southlake Carroll is a serious football school down here. In contention for the title most years.

I don't have a scout sub anymore, but there's a story on there about Williams winning a state track title. Maybe that 4.4 speed is legit?

That's good...speed and a good school to build ties with.

A twitter or two down he mentions a guard (Brendyn Taylor) who is in constant contact with the Buffs since they offered. I can't find a writeup on him though.

see nik's cali high top 20 thread.

Meaning only making room for blue chippers this recruiting class, or in future classes being more selective?
Does not necessarily mean holding out for the truly elite WRs, but we can afford to be choosy now. Williams is a guy I would take a wait-and-see approach with.

Yes, welcome! Nik, if this keeps up, you might want to add 40 times to the recruit index table...

Like his size and speed, also the fact he comes from one of the top schools in Texas is a plus. Kids there have a winning atitude and dont accept anything less. Always need guys like that.

Might need a reminder about the cooling period for scoop, but welcome aboard if true!

It was posted on Netbuffs 5 minutes before it was brought over here by the scooper. Might need a reminder that there's no cooling period on public domain information.

Relax about where it came from and enjoy the commit!

Yo, ease up chief. Not trying to ruffle any feathers though, so apologies for overlooking the masses that frequent Netbuffs. We are definitely on the same page about enjoying the news of a new commit; I just know these guys have their livelihood at stake with these sites. Again, I stand corrected, but more importantly, welcome Peyton!

We should never compare ourselves to Netbuffs......

Solid pickup. Now we can be really selective in taking one more WR.

Has not taken long for Bobby Kennedy to make a difference in DFW recruiting.
