Apparently Yahoo is working on another big story and it involves a SEC West team. Likely LSU or Auburn. Look for it to come out in the next few weeks.

Read somewhere that LSU is the only team with out major infractions in the SEC in the past 20 years, SEC looking to bat 1.000?

My guess is LSU. There have been rumors for a long time and it would seem early for anything major on Auburn to come out.

Big deal. Not going to take away anything meaningful.

Frankly the biggest losers in today's college football are the teams who AREN'T cheating.

There has been a lot of smoke around LSU and their recruitment of Patrick Peterson...who I believe was also linked to Lyles. If it turns out to be LSU maybe we dodged a bullet by not being able to pry Miles away?

That season-opening UO-LSU matchup has become the "Lyles Scandal Bowl".

The NCAA is NEVER going to hit any of the big boys hard enough to discourage them from cheating. Look at how they bent over for tOSU and the Sugar Bowl. It's all about $$$ and they won't kill a cash cow, no matter what happens.

If it's LSU, that means Lyles got $35,000 and will take down 3 programs. Cam Newton's dad got $250,000 and his son won the heisman and was the top pick in the NFL...makes sense.

Signed USC.

Signed USC.
you really think that was enough of a deterrent that SC will never cheat again? I don't. They will keep their heads down for a couple of years and be rigth back at it. My point isn't that the NCAA doesn't punish, they just are never going to do enough to stop the big boys from cheating...time will tell.

What, but Auburn fans have been telling us for months that this is over and done with....
Sarcasm noted.

Pat Forde was on sports talk radio today and indicated that there's more rumors floating around $EC country. He said he wouldn't elaborate just yet since he couldn't get anything more substantial. Not sure if Aweberrrnn, but ......

I would then say that is more of an issue with the institution than the NCAA. The penalties assessed against USC are quite severe. If they chose to keep cheating and risk further sanctions that is their choice. The NCAA cannot just issue death penalties because they think the institution had it coming. The NCAA can only go so far based on the framework it has to work with. You have to remember that the NCAA is in effect the schools policing themselves so there will always be a conflict of interest.

vandy doesn't cheat because they have enough shame to last decades already--- they produced jay "no mas" cutler.

More rumblings out there that perhaps the NCAA is closing in on Auburn. All over the rivals national board today, but it has been in the background for a while now. Not sure how credible it will all turn out to be though.
