"... You have to practice in such a manner that you can't hide. You got to expose guys. You've got to let their teammates see if they're doing what they're supposed to do so that they can't hide. You do those things and that will either make you tough or get you out of there."

If that quote doesn't make you feel like we have finally turned our backs on the Hawkins Error, nothing will. I know so far he has just been all talk with no action to go off of, but I have a very good feeling with this coach. His comments in this article regarding 9 on 7 and how he handles the offense vs defense scenarios makes me feel like we are in good hands.

That is a refreshing change from "Well, if we just work on a few little things, this deal is gonna pop".

No wonder so many guys were constantly pushing a wheelbarrow back and forth. They were hiding. I really don't blame them though, they probably wanted to get away from Hawk's words of wisdom.

OMG I am soooooo ready for football to start!!!

The best part to me is, the players are drinking the kool-aid as well. We need to get off to a good start to keep that confidence snowballing. A loss to Hawaii could deflate everything and begin the questioning.

Very good to hear and gives me some confidence that we no longer have a moron running the show and instead have a HC that has an understanding of what it takes to win at this level. However, I won't believe anything I read until I start seeing it on the field. Go out and smack Hawaii around and I'll start to believe that this isn't just talk. Come back and physically manhandle Cal as well and I'll really believe.
