QB's: Hansen will look good at times then completely overthrow a receiver. He has nice touch on the ball tho. Schrock got a lot of reps with the 2nd team again. I think he actually runs the O better than Burnette does. Burnette was still having issues with fumbling Hirschman was still out with injury

RB's: Speedy still looks amazing. He broke off some nice runs during scrimmage time. We really got a player in D.D. He had a nice run and is really shifty and agile. Creer had a nice run as well, hurdling a defender

WR's: I think the WR corps is a little more settled now. THe WR's were the most impressive group today by far. Gray appears to be the #3 WR. He had a really nice catch in the corner of the endzone that got the crowd cheering. Richardson just flat out burned Olatoye I believe on a fly route for a TD. Clemons still dropped some passes right on his hands but made a spectacular leaping catch down the middle. Spruce had quite a few nice catches as well. One right in the corner of the endzone where he had to reach out for it and another sandwiched in between two defenders.

TE: Not much here but they are a feature of the offense. Slavin still looks thin for a TE.

OL: Asiata is gonna be a beast. He is probably our biggest Guard minus Miller. Not much fat on him at all. Disappointed in Tau, 5 year scholarship player that will probably never play. Just not in the greatest shape. Daniels and Munyer are stil battling it out. There was an OL recruit in from Long Beach Poly but more on that later (head over to recruiting forum).

DL: Juda looked like he was playing a little OLB today. Tui really harps on the "little things." Kasa was playing some NT during scrimmage which was surprising. Chidera was back at practice and in uniform but not participating, Goldberg got in there in his place.

LB's: Woodson Greer was working seperately with trainers and was running suicides. Once he gets in shape I think he could be good, he is big. You could hear Cabral say a lot, "Major Rippy". I think they're set to start. Brady Daigh will be good, the coaches seem to really like him

CB's: The battle of camp going on right here. I'd say Henderson and Vigo got the majority of the snaps with the one's. Vigo made a really nice play jumping in front of Richardson and swatting a ball. Greg Brown wasn't happy with Henderson a lot of the time. Olatoye was getting beat consistently by McCulloch and Richardson. Orms was still out, but he looks closer to ready everyday

S: Lots of Safety's lining up at the LOS. Harlos and Washington were running with the 2's. Harlos had a nice INT and Washington was making some plays swatting the balls away. Good future here. Terrel was 2nd team NB.

K: Didn't see any game action I believe. Seems like the battle is over here

P: Embree told the Punters he was gonna eliminate one today. Didn't appear that he did so. They had them backed up in the endzone punting quite a bit. No one appeared to win the spot, but I think Brundage is 3rd. Grossnickle usually went out first so maybe #1?

There are a lot of former players showing up to practice. Sean Embree, Marcus Burton, Chad Brown, Medford Moorer were some of the guys I saw today. I think Embree is really trying to open up and embrace our former players. In scrimmage work, the Offense definitely won. Every day they work on situational stuff. Today it was the two minute drill. Lots of nice passes to the WR's today. They're still working on ST's a lot, punting seemed to be the focus. They did some ST's specific drills. Cha'pelle was running some of those. Overall it was a shorter practice and they were just in shorts so no tackling today. Probably for the two a days. I'll post more if I forget and Go Buffs

I just read yesterday that Tau was actually pushing for playing time. I think maybe it was he and Harris that were battling it out. I was getting my hopes up that we might finally get something out of him. From your report though, I guess not.

Thank you.

Which one of you guys had the Jerimiah beard?

Only saw the last hour or so but Prich was dominant again. Loved when McColluch got cut and Embree laid into him and told him to suck it up.

what i saw of the DB's wasnt that scary. In the 2minute situation the 1st team offense came out and moved it no problems the first time, then the 2nd string O and D came out and D won, after that they alternated 1st's and 2nd's with both D's putting up a fight. I saw three separate INT opportunities with one being caught. Defense seemed rarely out of position and in most cases were all over the WR's. BTW Richardson is going to be a big time star very soon, he has the smarts and the speed. Clemons is going to be solid like mentioned above, he dropped a few but otherwise was solid.

Funny Embree got mad on the INT because the defender started running up field. Situation was 1min and change before half so my guess is they were supposed to down the ball so the offense could come out and try to score. Good to see the fire and competitiveness in the D though.

Saw some really good punts from the kickers today, a couple even got reaction from the crowd because of the hang time.

Didnt see a whole lot of running the ball today but I may have just arrived too late and only caught the 2min drill stuff.

Hansen was by far the best QB. Overthrew a couple times but he also had a great touch pass to the corner of the endzone to gray, I think we will see that one again and again this year.

For being in shorts they looked good, very physical play on the defense. Practice was up tempo and had some intensity, not a whole lot of yelling and screaming for the part I saw but they definitely were not afraid to expect perfection each and every play. Cant wait to see the scrimmage saturday

I bet he would have also been mad if he didn't run it back.

Perkins is the obvious leader of the DB's. After every play in 11 on 11's he would give tips and pointers to those out there. He really understands the game and knows the playbook. WIll be a huge asset this year.

CJ was there and Chad Brown addressed the LB's after practice. Good speaker and motivater.

There was also a scout from the Chargers there taking a look at a couple players.

Today was the first practice I attended this year. The atmosphere and energy were completely different from the last 2 years. The scrimmage on Saturday will be telling about how good this team could be.

They are still issuing parking tickets. I never knew there were a few metered parking spaces in the dirt lot, up against the creek by the bridge. $1.50 for 60 minutes. And there wasn't a roster to be seen.

I parked over in the lot to the west of the Family housing off of 19th and that was free and I doubt they hand out tickets there.

Still handing out tickets? REALLY?!?! :wtf:

Who's the dumbass in charge of this kind of thing? Honestly. Somebody needs to be kicked in the balls over this. It's absurd.

it ain't free, there's just not a lot of enforcement. i wouldn't park there twice. from what i hear they take your license, and the 2nd time they ticket/or even tow. you ain't exactly the first person who thinks they are getting over by parking there. i've seen people tailgate there, get towed, come back from the game....with no car to go.

sacky, why should someone be kicked in the balls for not letting people park for practice when there are people who use that lot to get to work every day. if someone parked in your spot at work, you'd be pissed like a mofo.

I was sort of watching for that, I'd glance over every few minutes but that's bull**** as well. I would want to see what would happen if they pulled this stunt at Auburn, Bama, Florida, LSU, or any other school, probably wouldn't go over well.

There was a CU employee with a name tag standing on top of the steps warning everyone at least. If Bohn is aware of it, he either doesn't care or has no pull. I find it hard to believe the AD can't make one phone call to take care of this.

Parking services doesn't care about blac... I mean they don't care about anything but themselves. The Director of Admissions couldn't get us out of paying our ticket for our CU shuttle.

Thanks for the report Slider!

It's obvious what those cars are doing there. These are customers. These are people who put a lot of money into the coffers at CU. They are the people CU should be trying to keep on their good side. It's moronic to be ticketing those cars. Absolutely moronic. Kick somebody in the balls moronic.

I talked to the CU employee at the doors and he said there wouldn't be any resolution because normal employees don't get any special treatment. Or something along those lines....

Not sure I understand the parking uproar. If you are illegally parked, you SHOULD get a ticket.
Have to agree. Prior to practice starting someone started a thread about parking. Repeatedly, I advised parking in the Red Robin parking lot. Why? Cause the CU parking Nazi's are world renowned for ticketing. Anyone who ever attended CU knows this. Deal with it.

Nice write up. Ignorant here, who is DD? Scanned the roster at Cubuffs, didn't see a RB with those initials?
