In. Sounds like a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Any interest in a Darkhorse meetup for liquid lunch and walking over?

'Nik mentioned it earlier, but anyone up for a Dark Horse meeting beforehand? First pitcher's on me.

Wife got a sitter. Now a +1 for DH at 12:30.

Can't hang after, bcs.

I'm meeting friends for the Broncos game after too, so I'm out for post-game.

Really great to see Goose, Golden and BCS there.

I think the crowd may have been about 2k. Really nice turnout.

Lots of players were involved, doing everything from passing out programs to giving out the free t-shirts (Dinwiddie was manning our t-shirt window and Arielle Roberson was our door greeter). Lots of football players taking the tour, too. Great to see all of them involved and having a good time. Tunks looked big. Austin looked like he was in great shape. Dre looks like he may have gotten taller. Seeing the MBB guys shooting around, they really seem like a group that enjoys each other. I'm more optimistic than I was. (Also, Booker's not as small as I expected.)

From the women's side, Reese and Roberson were together a lot. I think that's a freshman duo that is going to do a lot for us so it's great that they've already developed a bond. The Malcolm-Peck sisters look like the training is paying off and they look strong with some obvious upper body strength added this offseason.

As for volleyball, the change in the players is very evident from a couple years ago. Most of them are around 6 feet tall and look athletic. Kritza is building something there.

Here are some photos I took with my phone (not great, but thought you guys would want to see them):

From first to last: Logo on upper practice court; Dinwiddie at the ticket window; our #1 fans - the twins; lower practice court; arena court w/ Pac-12 logos on it - hard to see but I tried; and, crowd shot from the ceremony

I'll becounting on Goose/Nik for additional details and pictures but here's my update

This new facility is a thing of beauty. I met up with Goose and 'Nik at the Horse and then we walked over. We arrived just in time to see the marching band perform and hear from various bigwigs before they cut the ribbon and let everyone in. We ran into BCS at this point and crossed paths with him and his family a few times throughout the day. We immediately ran up to the new ticket office where we were handed some pretty sweet Pac-12 t shirts by none other that Spencer Dinwiddie who was receiving them via airmail by Askia Booker.

We then wandered around in Coors for a while, taking some time to admire the beautiful Pac-12 logos now painted on the court. Then it was down to the revamped office area. The new facility is directly connected to the operations center and unfortunately, I have to report that there have been no changes to the buff club room (yet). We checked out both the new gyms (they were beautiful) and got a look at the view from the lower court balcony. We also got a look at the new girl's locker room, which looks pretty nice.

Finally, we ended up down at the north end of the main court in Coors watching Booker shoot hoops with a few kids. He seemed like a really nice guy and was taking the time to give the little ones pointers and encouragement. After a while, more of the mens team started trickling out and before too long, most of the team was out there doing a little bit of a shoot around. We left after that so as not to be creepos. I have to say, after seeing the chemistry/attitude of the team and more specifically Tunks (he looks like he did some WORK this offseason), I have high hopes for the basketball team this coming season. All in all it was a beautiful day to be a Buff and much rep to 'Nik and Goose for letting me tag along.

Edit: Nice job 'nik. You got in while I was typing

P.S. Thanks for the beer, Goose! You da man!

Terrible photo, but here's the women's locker room. We made sure to check out the showers, but weren't able to make any Porky's/DBT style alterations.

Really nice facility.

Not to be debbie downer, but why didn't they do the conference logo in black and gold?

I'm not sure that it would pop if we did that, especially on tv.

I agree that the black & gold version looks cool as ****, though.

Yeah on TV the gold would be too hard to distinguish from the court color although if done properly, it could look cool but I doubt it.

I took a lot of photos with my iPhone and wife's Sony camera. If you saw a large guy with a camo hat with a CU hat, that was me. Will upload iPhone photos after the phone gets recharged.
