What is there to say? They administered an asskicking last year. I know I'd love to hear what Embree has to say before this game.

I didn't realize they also had a lame hand-sign... I thought we were getting away from that in the Pac12

I could only watch 1 minute of those highlights. That game was terrible

That was the most embarrassing game I have ever attended. We did rule the on-campus pub before hand though. :-/. "Nerds, Nerds, Nerds, Nerds, Nerds!!!!!"

Looks like transfer Zach Maynard has the reigns now. Don't know much about him. Anyone seen him play at Buffalo?
[h=2]Maynard’s accuracy, comfort-level improving in camp[/h]
Maynard Easing into QB1

Junior Zach Maynard locked down the starting quarterback spot after just 15 spring practice sessions, which may have as much do with his competition as his own abilities. Maynard, who transferred from Buffalo after coach Turner Gill left for Kansas, is arguably the most mobile player that Tedford has lined under center, but he also hasn’t played a football game in over a year. In addition, he’ll have to adjust to playing in the Pac-12 after spending a full season in the MAC.
Tedford says that over the last two weeks, Maynard has appeared increasingly comfortable controlling the offense.

REVENGE!!!! Most humiliating game I've ever attended. I'm gonna go Sherlock here and say that the beatdown Cal administered last year is the reason so many Buff fans are doubting whether we can be a middle of the pac(k) -no pun intended - team in the PAC right now. However, we can't put all the blame on Hawkins for that loss. A large amount of that falls on the players who apparently thought they were "chillin' in Cali" and could be "hangin @ In and Out" the evening before the game. That said, I think CU might win this, because: (a) The truth is Cal isn't very good lately (makes last year more humiliating, but bodes well for this year). They're a ~.500 team. (b) they are pretty horrendous on the road themselves. (c) You know Embree is going to get this team fired up for this one. It may be an OOC game, but this is the Buffs' first chance to send a direct message to the league that they aren't going to be the 2-11 (0-9) walkover that so many have them pegged as.

...and finally, (d) Cal likely won't know our snap count this year

This game is the one that I have circled in red as a red letter game instead of the Utah game this year...I want to see CU sweep Cal in MBB, WBB, and football this year and we are already 2/3s there.

I always had a lot of respect for Kiesau. He was a fantastic asst coach. I think he got tossed into a bad situation while he was here at CU. I'm sure he'll become a great Coordinator and eventually a good HC.

[h=1]Kiesau making strides with Bear receivers[/h]His first stint with the Bears was highly successful and with his return to Cal five years after his departure to Colorado in 2006, wide receivers coach/passing game coordinator Eric Kiesau's bringing a wealth of experience and a little bit of attitude to the Bears' offense this season.

Maynardiacs! A Closer Look At The Cal QBs in 2011

And then of course, Maynard can run pretty fast. It's rumored that Cal has installed some special plays just for Maynard. Tedford has openly said that there will be more designed QB runs this year. So I think Cal fans are really in for an exciting year at the QB position. In the entire Tedford era, I don't think Cal has had a QB with that much athletic ability as Maynard. Not even Aaron Rodgers. I'm not sure how fast exactly Maynard is, but if he's anywhere around a 4.6 second 40-yard dash with great quickness, then we should be looking at a very dynamic Cal QB offense.

Big 12 Championship 10 Year Reunion Game for players and such

CU There...Go Buffs!!

I'm not confident in a UBuffalo transfer
Especially one with one start against a BCS team (Tittsburgh 4-8) and will be making his first road start in a hostile environment. Even better, he didn't have great stats at Buffalo.

I hope he does run. And I hope he pays for it. I am looking for him to be begging to be replaced by the second half.
