Damn Ken. Not only does he steal an idea for a post that I've been working on for a few days, but he does a hell of a lot better job than I could ever dream of doing.

Andre Roberson
08.25.11

Yup, that’s the title of the post. Just “Andre Roberson”. Why? Because when one does a search of the interwebs for Andre Roberson the results seem to indicate he is just some guy. Some guy that plays basketball for the University of Colorado. He might as well be Shane Harris-Tunks.

Draft Express has 69 profiles for college sophomores, but none for Roberson as of yet. And I’m confident Roberson and four randoms (dudes or chicks) from the CU medical school could handle Luke Winn’s breakout team this season. The closest Roberson has come to getting offseason acclaim is being considered by Drew Cannon for his top 100 list.

Someday Roberson will have an internet presence, but until that day comes I figure this post should be good for trolling a few google hits. No need to clutter up the title with something like “An homage to Andre Roberson”, although that’s what you’re going to get here.

As with everything Ken does, it's a great read and worth your time.

Oh, and a big FU to my company's IT department for making us use the equivilent of a Commodore 64 here with Internet Explorer '99 or some BS. I've typed this thread out 6 times now and had it crash every time. How dare work try to overrule my AllBuffs time.

I was just going to post this, good to see we actually have people following CU basketball. Ken Pomeroy knows his stuff, this is great seeing buffs basketball getting recognition by espn having a top 25 recruiting class yesterday and ken doing a profile on one of our players today.

To steal the tag line from "the rumblings of a deranged buffalo"

In summation, Tad Boyle is awesome.

I saw this at RumblinBuff's excellent blog and wondered if it was here too. Great read.

Ken Pomeroy is such a gift to hoops fans. Love that he's giving some pub to Dre.

Also... I think there's a chance that you'll see a primer on advanced metrics, how CU scored last season, where we're likely to drop off, and what we need to improve on this season when AllBuffs posts its 2011-12 season preview. :wink2:

Dre is truly a gift to have on our team. What year is his brother going to start here.

Does he have a little bro? I thought it was all sisters. Arielle is in our 2011 WBB class and you'll see her on the court this season. (She was really nice at the practice facility dedication, btw. I'll be especially rooting for her to do well.)

he definitely has a younger brother, let me see what I can dig up. He may be 2014

The Roberson family children :
Ashlee (23), Amber (21), Arielle (18), Aaliyah (7), Arianna (5)
Andre (19), Anthony (16)

from Amber's bio on the Texas web site....she is a senior VB player. The parents sure liked the letter "A"

I don't see Anthony in either Scout or Rivals database
