For some reason, Scout has Hawkins as a 2013 prospect and ESPN doesn't have him in its database (which only goes through 2012). However, Rivals has 2012 and a bunch of Michigan message boards talk about him as a '12 prospect.

I'm going to assume that he's in the next class until I proven otherwise.

Man, another big-time 2 that's interested. Just land one of these guys to go with Scott/Gordon and the future looks really bright! Get Hawkins in for an OV!

I don't have a Rivals subscription, so I can't see behind the firewall, but they now list him with West Virginia as his favorite. Of course it now says that he lives in Flint (Mich), West Virginia. Unless the entire town of Flint moved to West Virginia, I'm questioning this update a little bit.

He's from Flint but is going to Huntington prep in WV for school.

One thing that always worries me in basketball recruiting is that guys can focus on a conference to an extent that's less common in football (outside of SEC country). You see guys want the Big East or ACC who commit to a DePaul or USF or Miami over offers from better programs in other conferences. It's a big reason to cheer for the Pac-12 in basketball (non-conference and NCAA tourney) because conference prestige matters here.

Posted this in Xavier Johnson's thread before chitownbuff pointed out I was wrong and it was probably Hawkins he was referring to.

Was looking at Coach T's twitter for a message he made earlier this week and stumbled across this one that I somehow missed yesterday:

LSU and VA Tech jumping in on one of our recruits.

Considering LSU is now listed as an offer for Xavier, I'm betting he's the recruit that Coach T is talking about.

Updated his offer list as well.

Yeah, but no Michigan State offer? It seems like they land all the top players from Flint.

I REALLY need to update his page. JRK pointed it out, but he's transfered to a school in WV for his senior year.
