Marshall Williams - potential PWO QB for 2012 class

either all of these QB's are really really good or someone on our coaching staff is not at all confident in the qb's we already have...

Or they're good talent evaluators and have an eye for talent. Shrock didn't have any offers but he surprised everyone in fall camp.

At some point, there are only so many reps to go around.

Yep. Probably only the top 4 get decent practice reps. But I don't think it's out of line to take 1 scholarship and 1 pwo every year. There's always attrition and the position's too important to put ourselves at risk. If the guys who are buried spend most of their time playing catch on the sideline and studying the playbook, that's better than not having guys doing that.

Unless this is a bad sign about Wood.

Completely unrelated. Just a guy the coaches are keeping an eye on and we'd potentially invite if he doesn't sign somewhere.

I agree.

If Wood comes in and this guy redshirts there will be a two year gap between them, same can be said about Dillon.

With Hirsch already in the program and a RS Frosh this year along with two true frosh in the program now and Dillon coming next year I'm not sure I would consider CU to be much of an opportunity if I were him but that's his decision.

There are only a limited number of reps in practice and in games but at the same time if a team has a shot at getting talent it is hard to turn that down. You don't usually lose because of to much talent.

So help the less fortunate here Buffnik

Has Coach Scherer offered a PWO? I know of one QB that has been offered a PWO. Can't say who but he can compete with any of the QB's mentioned in this or any other thread. He's so UTR

No offers yet, but we've continued to be in contact.

Just had an opening game 500+ yard passing performance with 6 touchdowns for Flower Mound, TX.

6'5" 195 lb

Not that I know of. All I know is that he's a prospect of interest and would be someone we would consider inviting in. If we have already extended that invitation, it would be news to me. You know more than I do if you're aware of a 2012 PWO offer already.
