First off, hat tip to RumblinBuff on this one. He re-tweeted something through his Twitter feed. Everyone should be reading his blog, and following him on Twitter.

Everyone here should be following Coach Prioleau already on Twitter, but Coach Abatemarco has a Twitter feed as well. Here are some of the gems from him this afternoon:

@FlyDre21 Cain will give you all you can handle in workouts on Wed. You better get yourself ready. T .

@FlyDre21 You were a Man in the weight room today. T

Our Head Basketball coach at Colorado the next star in College basketball. Tad Boyle will be a house hold name. T

Shane Tunks Seven footer for us the Colorado Buffs is coming off an ACL . He would have started last year. Shane is working hard. T

@FlyDre21 Dre you and DC and Austin got after it on workouts. Wow that is the way to battle. T

And these two from a few days ago:

Coach Boyle will build Colorado basketball into a PAC 12 power. T

@paulbiancardi Paul watch out for the Buffs some surprises coming. T

Now is there anything groundbreaking in there? No. But it goes to something that 'Nik pointed out to Golden & I at the open house -- this team likes each other. A lot. You can tell and I really think we're building something special here and slowly but surely, I'm thinking we could really surprise some people this season.

TL,DR version:

1.) Bookmark Rumblin's Blog
2.) Follow Rumblin on Twitter. Serious. He only has 27 followers right now. That number needs to double in the next few days.
3.) Follow Pri on Twitter
4.) Follow Coach T on Twitter
5.) For God's sake, if you're not following Allbuffs on Twitter yet, snap to it.
6.) Sit back and enjoy the ride. It's going to get good everyone.

You forgot "Follow @RKstarfox for some reason he reminds me alot of UBL who is awesome"

I just thought it was awesome that coach Abatemarco was using the freshman to challenge 'Dre. Pri and T being on twitter has made my summer.

BTW, Thanx for the pub Goose, you're too awesome!

I know that a lot of this is just due to twitter and having more access to direct info from players and coaches, but this team really does seem to like each other and they seem to be getting after it the last couple of weeks. I am cautiously optimistic about the upcoming season.

I would like Tad Boyle to be a household name this year or next when we make it to the final four

Rumblin has only increased his followers from 27 to 40. I fully expect it to be 54 by the end of the day on Thursday people. There are very few feeds that are better when it comes to CU Basketball.

Do you guys think that Tad will stay here, if a more prestigious basketball school comes offering?

(I'm not trying to be a jerk, or mean anything, I'm seriously interested. I didn't know if you guys had that problem, like a lot of Valley schools do, as being stepping stone programs.)

Shocker, I think the general thinking is that Boyle really likes it here and the only job that he would jump at is KU.

We have been a stepping stone program. It's a fair question.

I think Tad would like some stability for a while, given the age of his kids and his genuine love of his home state.

He seems less motivated by money than most people, so if we reward him with increases and extensions that will keep most programs away as long as we're giving the program the resources it needs to be successful (retaining assistants with competitive salaries, commitment to facilities, no restrictions on recruiting budget, etc.). Resources are probably more important to him.

He must see good fan support, too.

In the final equation, the one program that I'd worry about being able to steal him away is Kansas. I don't see him making a Texas A&M-to-Maryland type move like his buddy Turgeon did.

That's awesome. We always enjoyed Tad when he was at our program, and when he left Turgeon, his recruiting went down, and I have always said that Tad was his key guy while at WSU.

It seems like Tad and Gregg are very similar, which is great for both of our schools. Money isn't a motivator for Gregg either, it obviously is for everyone, but he lives very comfortably in Wichita. The thing that helps us out is that a million dollars a year goes exponentially farther in Wichita, KS, than if he moved to the east or west coast. So that always helps us, and I would imagine helps you guys with the money offered to Tad. Also Gregg's youngest is 12 I think, and from what I hear, the Marshall's really like being in Wichita, and want to stay until their daughter graduates, and then can realistically think about taking another job. So I'm just hoping that between now, and the next 5-6 years, Coach Marshall can build our program up to winning the Valley every year, and going a round or two in the tournament every year. If we can do that, then I think Marshall would be more inclined to stay at WSU with the program that he has to reload, rather than rebuild from scratch. Because I don't really think that Gregg is like Tad, in the fact that he has an absolute dream destination. That's always tough to deal with, sort of like Roy Williams at KU. I mean if you're at KU, there is only about 2 other programs in the country that beat you in prestige, and that's Duke and UNC. Had to be a hard pill to swallow for KU fans when their coach leaves for another position.

I digress from my ramblings though, and here is to our coaches staying for a while, and prospering. Cheers gents.

If Bill Self Retires/moves on/is fired and KU offers the job to Tad, I can't imagine that he'd stay

lot of weird dominoes could fall if Self decides he's had enough of Larryville (always rumors about this), Travis Ford doesn't get it done in Stillwater. i don't think it's that likely, but i know OSU people who still say Self would still like to coach the alma mater. i think as long as Tad is getting the appreciation and $$$ he deserves at his market value....KU is the only threat on the present horizon. but, you never know. i pointed to this before, but Turgeon had a kind of iconic status as a player at KU while Boyle was a very good player on some (for KU) average Ted Owens teams. i for one hope, KU fan is hot for "Turgeon the Surgeon" and those good old days of the early Larry Brown era.

edit: to be honest, i'd love to see Boyle's name "out there" since that means CU has been winning. no point in hanging on to a guy who isn't....

I don't expect him more than three total years. So two more. If he does stay longer, good (as long as we are still doing well).

Boyle was pretty clear that CU was his "dream job" when he accepted the position, although we hear the same from most new coaches. I think there's more truth to it with Tad, though. He and his wife are both from Greeley and, living in Longmont, he's only 30 minutes or so from where he grew up. I've got to think having 3 young children makes him less likely to move too. With the new practice facility and likely a large contact coming from that PAC 12 revenue, I doubt there are more than a handful of schools he'd be willing to leave for. I'd agree KU is the one to watch out for though.

Ahhhh! Now you got me thinking about that old airline joke: "Do you prefer United coffee or TWA tea?"
