Is it just me?

Or are we the only team in the country that can't have a QB drop back in the pocket and complete a pass? Even when there isn't any pressure. Is everyone that well covered?

Hansen is not playing good, pretty dissapointing considering he had a good fall camp. Gotta wonder if we see Hirsh today. Penalties have killed any momentum as well, and that call against Orms was weak.

i''ve watched our practices over the years, and we complete a deep ball and people applaud and cheer. you watch teams like Oklahoma or Missouri and they complete a deep ball and no one flinches.

Until they properly block a pass play, there's no way to tell. I haven't seen a single pass attempt where Hansen had time to get to his 2nd read without a couple of his linemen getting pushed back into the pocket. Our O line is making UH look like the 84 Bears.

It hurt badly that daddy didn't allow any competition for his little shrimp.

It won't be cured over night.

It's just you. Unrealistic expectations sux...

It's early in the process here, don't give up on CU, they're just getting started in the new era....

The C.U. Oline has just stunk it up for years.

Yup, they've been soft for years, and that wasn't something that was going to change overnight, regardless of Miller giving soundbites. Unfortunately that likely won't change until a new cast is brought in over the next few years.

I definitely hear the "it's early" arguments and the "these aren't Embo's players" argumen as well, but I can't even fathom what an Ohio State d line will do to our offensive line in a few weeks. If TH struggled today and Speedy couldnt get going against Hawaii I may be shielding my eyes during games against teams like Ohio State and USC.

I agree he was not playing well but I have to disagree about Tyler's fall camp. I was only at one practice and one scrimmage but from what I saw Shrock had the best fall camp out of all of our QBs. Shrock still made some mistakes that a freshman would make but Hansen was making those same mistakes. Hansen continued to make those mistakes tonight. Shrock had nice touch and made better decisions. I was very surprised, as were many others around me a the live practices that Shrock had to walk on and was not offered scholarships (that we know of).

That being said I like Tyler, he has been through a lot and is a Buff but these mistakes tonight were inexcusable. 50% of the sacks he took tonight he could have tossed the ball away or had just pulled the ball down after a deciding not to throw. I know we have to have a little patience but we also need to be shown there is some growth.

Above all else, the OL played the worst I have seen in a while. I've never seen so many huge people be pushed around like tonight. They really need to reevaluate what they are doing. The one nice thing about the OL, when we went with a zone blocking scheme, they seemed to understand it, click and execute.

The D and secondary played pretty well as long as they can learn to wrap up. FYI They showed the same problems in practice but that issue didn't seem to get reported too much here.

I hope for the best for this season and wont give up. I'll be rooting hard and defending them as much as I can. Have a good night all. The sun will still rise tomorrow even though it doesn't seem like it.

GO BUFFS! Beat Cal!

Not a good year to have the nations toughest schedule eh? Here's to future schdules of 1 Pancake (Portland State type, if D1, then a lower tier Mac team at best), CSU (if we cant get out of the contract) and a decent, but still not good D1 team (Indiana, Wyoming, Kentucky). That type of schedule would be better for us, even if OSU is more interesting for us.

I still don't understand why they were packing the schedule with such tough non conference games. That is something a team like Boise St or TCU should do so they can justify being a contender for the national championship. But our conference was certainly tough enough to put us in a bowl game without scheduling Ohio St... Ugh that is going to be a long game.

we scheduled OSU because we had a last minute (this year) hole in the schedule. they did too. it was a great move by Bohn and the OSU AD to put it together....it's one off big payday for CU. sure in terms of win totals it might be nice to play Colorado Mines or UNC in that slot....but, i liked the move, CU fans were energized to go to the Shoe, and it's a big payday for us.

I'm sure their money is nice, however it will be a beat down. It's not like we are go to lose out on an undefeated season or anything. But we don't really have any recruiting interest or power in Ohio, nor in any big ten country I can think of. From my point of view, we just raise the national profile of being a doormat. A Colorado Mines may not bring in the money, but it will be a W for a first season that will be short on wins. I guess I'll try and look at the bright side and hope the money helps with new facilities. I'll be at the game. It'll help ease that Hawkins buyout.

I understand the thinking, I really do. But let's remember, playing in a Bowl game is also a payout. Sure its neat to play at The OSU but I watched the Akron game yesterday and OSU played sloppy and still rolled them 41-0. If we play anything like we did last night in Columbus we will be beaten as bad if not worse and the CU fans whomever they may be that were "energized" about this game will end up being demoralized.

Everyone else plays cupcakes why the hell can't we? Whats wrong with being 3-1 going into our very tough Conf Schedule? Answer, NOTHING. I do like we play tough teams, but we are a joke right now and getting pounded on national TV week in and week out isn't the remedy. The time will come when we hang in the big games, but that time is not now.

And it's back to a state of lament for me. Wake me up when this is over

I am moving into the play patsies side of the arguement. The teams that have those schedules still play for national championships, and they are effectively getting two or three more weeks of 'practice' before a real test. Screw this 'we are the Buffs and we will play anyone anywhere' ****. Just is giving us more losses. just is sitting us at home when we could be bowling. Just is moving recruits away from us because they dont see bowl games or wins form us. Ease up on the schedule until he gets this going...although, he will have it going before we can change the schedule probably.

The OSU game was doubly necessary this year because of our revenue situation for the Pac12 move this season. We need the cash

Miller has been giving great soundbites since the day he showed up. Talk doesn't mean much.

Hawaii is not Ohio State. We should be able to beat teams like Hawaii.

Can someone explain why Hansen squats so low to take a snap? Either our center is 4'9" or Hansen is sitting on his ass prior to the snap. No way can he see the D for pre-snap reads. I think he needs to work to me more upright at the line.

He is trying to replicate Cody's height behind center, in the hopes he will achieve the same success.

remember Hanson saying we were the most physical team in forever. last year. Dan Hawkins team, most physical. some kind of kool-aid, MMJ in the Dal...

Hansen has no talent. I was one of the fans screaming for Hawkins' head because he played Cody over Tyler. I was wrong. CH was better.

Based on Cal and last night it really was a tossup. Cody had that awful sack for a safety a few years back, but they both have the same problem locking on to a receiver.

People say we schedule tough because Folsom can't be filled. We beat Hawai'i yesterday by 10+ and I bet Folsom would be filled. Losing doesn't help. Expect a firesale or groupon for tickets to the Cal game this week.
