We are going to beat California

I don't care. These pussies need to win a game on the road. Grow a pair and win in Ohio and I will care

unfortunately we continue to be a laughingstock regardless until we prove we can win a road game, and now that probably isn't going to happen at all, but possibly at UCLA if the stars align

I say the stars align, we beat UCLA on the road, and Slick gets fired.

At the moment, I can't conceive a scenario in which we beat Cal. I hope to **** you're right, though.

I don't know what game you watched last night, but right now, I think we are going to get blown the f-up by Cal. Not sure what can change by next week. An O-line can't grow a pair in 7 days.

I didn't see the cal game yesterday, but they didn't beat Fresneck by that much. That said, picking the buffs to win any game at this point is beyond stupid.

It wasn't as close as the score -- 2 touchdowns were Cal turnovers (one was a fumble in the end zone). Cal played really sloppily (3 offsides in a row at one point) but also did some nice things. Maynard (the new QB) looks like he can play.

Keep the faith, bigbang.

The most dramatic improvement you see with a team is usually between the first and second game.

Going back a couple years, that's how I absolutely knew that we should have fired Hawkins after the Toledo game. Hope was gone, we let him stay on for another year and a half, and we had two recruiting classes ranked outside the top 50 as a result.

I still think we beat Cal, and I will still be shocked if Cal wins. Just like the buffs can't prove they can win on the road, Cal can't prove it either.

if only. i still say to any one with a strong, powerful stomach to go find the post-Toledo presser on youtube where Dan brags about not teaching tackling in a whimsical story about Dick Tomey. it's like surrealism. he's smiling away after a complete asskicking by a mid major and two weeks removed from losing at home to CSU....telling the media how as a coach his move is to not coach.

It's stuff like this that was what proved Dan's genius. The rest of us slubs go around thinking mundane thoughts like, "If I want to get better at something, I should practice it.". Not Dan. His mind works at another level. At that level, people get better at stuff by visualizing what they will do. This is why a Hawkins staff was able to get home and join their families for dinner every single night. Lots of time is freed up when you don't actually have to do anything and smarty think about what you'd like to do.

I still view a Hawaii team as significantly more talented than a Cal team at Boulder for the first time. However, Hawaii found a lot of flaws in our team. The game tape will show a lot. Lets hope Embree and Bieniemy are able to correct the obvious ones in the next week.

Based on what, exactly?
