(-) = Negative performance

(+) = Positive performance
(++) = Step Forward from last season ( Cabral's Interim)

Special Teams
Play Calling NA
Kick off Coverage= D (-)
Kick off Return = C- (-)
Punting = A (++)
Punt Return = C
Place Kicking = B
Field Goal Kicking= B? We made one!!!!

OFFENSE
CoachPlay Calling=B+ (+) Hard to tell because of Penalties On First Down
X Factor/ Swag =B (+) Skill guys A , O line C, or even D....
Players
Running =A (+)
Run Blocking =C- (-)
Pass Blocking =D (--)
Passing Accuracy =A (++) Tyler Looked Sharp! Last few minutes excluded.
Passing Strength =B Didn't see many long balls, probably due to lack of time
Catching =B (+) Clemons, Eh, drops. P Rich A+!!!

Defense
CoachPlay Calling = A+ (++) Those blitz packages were beautiful. It may have been hard to tell unless you saw it on television, but we were 5 yards into their backfield every other play. We just missed the tackling
X Factor/ Tenacity = B+ We Hit Hard. Ray Polk looked furious half the time. But we kept dropping Picks.
Players
D-Line Pressure = A (++) Spectacular pressure even without blitz packages.
Line Backer Pressure = A+ (++) They were at the quarterback under a second sometimes. See Rippy
Line Backer Coverage= C They Got beat a few times, mostly because of throws that were Dimes though.
Corner Coverage =A+ (+) See blitz packages. They were probably in 0 Coverage half the game. Outsanding
Safety Coverage = B+ (+) They were everywhere, and Polk looked like a beast. But they dropped picks and didn't save enough big plays.
Overall Tackling :bang: = FFFFFFFFFFF ---- Largely how we lost in the third quarter Big Mos 270 of their 294 yards.

OVERALL
Penalties = F---... Yes that was a grade and a four letter word.
Most Common Situation = "Second and Long!"
Coaching = A
Offense = D
Defense = C

Offensive Standouts
Stewart = A Faster than last year? I think so
P Rich =A He would catch a cow if it was thrown to him
Tyler Hanson = A Stood in the pocket so well.

Defensive Standouts
Freshman corners. Just deserve recognition
Hartigan = A
Major = B+
Rippy = A for pass rush alone
Ray Polk = A for tenacity and being in the frame of every single play.

Overall I thought it was CU killing CU, which was said in the post game interviews. Also, Our O - Line single handedly destroyed any offense last night. See Penalties and Performance.
Note- The team looked Lean! The strength and conditioning coach is doing great.

agreed on most points. I do think the O-line is what did us in last night. Not able to run the ball and not able to give tyler enough time to throw destroyed in offense we could have had last night plus all the penalties. Because of the O-line I think our D got winded. They were out there far too much. I hope to see some changes/improvements on the o-line this week

congrats on making the most complicated post game grading system ever. I learned a trick or two from hawk and am working on a grade grouping system, I might ask your for a few tips.

ps. your post was AB+-++

no way. It was obviously BA-++-+.

O line should have an F plain and simple. They all stand straight up and the defensive line gets under their pads and pushes them around way to easy.

Why does Oliver get a B for making his only field goal attempt.

Did he miss a couple during warm-ups before the game?

Did I see a different game?

Our offense couldn't block anyone and our defense couldn't tackle anyone.

I though Bieniemy was horrible with play calls and taking advantage of momentum we had in the 4th when we were only down 7.

The only bright spot on offense was PRich. Nobody could cover him, yet we failed to utilize him more.

On defense the D line looked great one play, and then would completely disappear the next. The LB were out of position on way to many plays. The only highlight on D was our secondary didn't get abused, and several people made some nice plays in the passing game, although Polk's late hit set up Hawaii's first points.

Special teams were way better than last year, but that does not mean anything. Good punts were a nice change from the shanks we saw all last year.

I'm not sure how our coaches get away with good grades but the team not. Where does the buck stop?

A sincere question:

Are you from the Athletic Department?

I wouldn't give Hartigan an A. Minutes after he was celebrating a sack, he missed a (should have been) tackle for a loss that turned into a long QB TD run.

Why the knob slobbering for the coaches? They FAILED last night.

If any of them is grading his coaching performance as an "A", he should be immediately fired.

Yup. Strangely enough, haLks self grade never dipped below a A-

No way did hansen look sharp. He needs to understand that when you hit the last step of your drop you need to get the ball out.

**** silver lining or whatever you want to call it. We lost. That means everyone gets an F because this is a team game. Some payers or coaches may have done better than others, but every single one of them lost this game, including our superstar ****ing punter, even though he gets a couple of dudeblows for his performance. Thanks to his best p.a.l. (personal ass licker)

You've mellowed.

AKA, Anal Tongue Dart....

The seniors disappointed. I expected Miller to take over this year but he prefers to tweet instead. No leadership. Hansen and Speedy too. The coaches had poor game plans and made no adjustments at the right time. After game one, this looks no different from the last 5 years. Bohn better have a 4 year plan and no extensions until there is a winning season. Embo needs to walk the walk. We've heard the talk for a long time.

What gameplan would you suggest when the oline cant block a soul? Ill help you, it wouldnt ****ing matter cause it wouldnt work. The coaches are accountable for this loss too so dont get me wrong, they dont get a pass. That said, guys gotta start ****ing playing and doing their job. The accountability has to be with everyone or we will see this **** every week.

This is the closest thing to an on point mini-analysis. I u detstand we want to be a running team that bullies everyone around with the Oline but we can't and Bienemy almost recognized that late but fell short. You have to work with what we got and currently it should-have-been/has to be chucking jump balls for PRich, and getting the ball to speedy in open space. They never stopped forcing a futile run up the middle.

I thought Hanson looked terrific in the short game. His short throws were very accurate and with more power than I expected. I really felt that he had a weaker arm but was proven wrong. I'm hearing more about his long throws being poor but I probably zoned out a bit, being down the whole time.

As to the question about how the coaches graded out well and the players did not. The coaches put our players in great position to make plays and the players did not execute imo. The more I think about it the more I feel the O-Line almost single handedly lost the game. Maybe thats harsh, but think about it, our defense held for a long time but our O line gave up either a sack or had a holding call almost every first down it seemed. (Or Didn't run block dynamically.) Heck , I think the rest of the team actually played pretty well. (Minus missed tackles)

But about major B+. I saw him in frame a lot, and yes, he was largely in coverage and a few receivers got behind him, which is fair. In my mind an A is exceptional and if he had made dynamic plays in coverage or something extraordinary in the run I would have given him more. Blah blah blah. Take it all as you please
