How would Hawkin's team have fared on Saturday?

Judging by his last few performances in road games, my guess is that they'd have gotten blow out. See Toledo - very similar..

CU played competitively for the most part. They actually did a good job defensively, until Moniz started running the ball. They were in the game until the beginning of the fourth quarter and the offensive line totally collapsed. Tyler Hansen has to take part of the blame for that. CU pressured Moniz pretty good in the first quarter, but he started making plays.

Still, offensive line and running game were the biggest disappointment, but this is the way it is many times in coaching staff first games. As bad as things seem, not all hope is lost on this season.

On a neutral field, Hawkins probably wins this game, but because it was on the road...same result. I'll take the new staff building a better program any day.

Bold and italic? You're really getting creative with your spam there.

I saw five years of D II incompetency...do you really need an naswer to this question?

We would not have come back after being down 17-0, it would have been Toledo all over again

Oh, they would have come back, but only after the game was long since decided. Hawkins teams were the masters of garbage time. Final score would have been 34-24, but 17 of the points would have come in the last 6 minutes after UH pulled all their starters and started playing leap frog on the sideline.

I agree except more like 48-24.

We would have still fumbled the first snap, then two straight incompletions. We would have gone for it on 4th and 11 from our own 40. It wouldn't have worked. Hawk would have said 0 words into his headset microphone during this time and look like he just smoked a huge bowl.

Our defense would have only rushed 2-3 linemen all game, and Monitz would have thrown for 600+ yards.

We would have missed any fg attempts, averaged about 25 net yards per punt, had 14 penalties, burned our third string QB's redshirt to play in 4 plays when we were down 40.

We would have been told how hard the team tried, how the first guy that climbed mount kilimanjaro died from a mosquito bite, and that we needed to clean up a few gashers.

The players would have had a surfing party on Waikiki that night. What'd I miss?
