According to the CSWho AD, 25,000 tickets have been sold for Saturdays game...19,000 are from UNC fans.

Big ballin.

Cheering for Lobato this weekend. Kid was a good Buff who got jerked around a bit. I met some of his family friends at some games (season tix near mine) and they were good peeps.

So, UNC struggles to regularly attract 8,000 to their home games, but somehow, they've sold 19K tix in Fort Fun? Something smells fishy to me .....
That was the report and just like CSWho, playing them is UNCs superbowl like CSWho playing us is their superbowl.

Go Bears!

I have friends that are UNC alumni. They're literally going nuts for this game, even flying in to see the lambs probably kick their asses.

Although, as ****** as they looked last week against UNM, maybe the lambs won't.

UNC didn't exactly tear it up last week either.

As someone who spent a few years there, I'm really pulling for UNC. It'd be huge for the program.

Invesco/Sports Authority huge. UNC should totally buy out CU's contract.

The AD said 19k went to UNC fans? Why isn't Ramnation melting down?

This seems hard to believe

there's no way thats true. i mean i wouldn't it past csu, but 6k tickets? thats half our student allotment.

Last I saw CSU was under 8,000 season tickets including some they give away to sponsors and for other promotional or administrative reasons.

I would doubt the 19,000 but it wouldn't surprise me if the stadium feels more like a UNC homegame, as has been stated earlier this is like a superbowl for UNC, their chance for bragging rights and recognition in northern Colorado.

It may also be a preview of the future. How it shakes out is still up for discussion but as the divide between the schools who are part of the upper level leagues and those who are in the mid-level leagues gets bigger I think that it is inevitable that those who can't keep up are going to be forced to drop back. This means that schools like CSU and WYO are going to end up dropping back into a restructured FCS level with fewer schollies and significantly lower budgets. When this happens I can very easily see CSU and UNC being in the same league.

who gives a rat's ass about CSU? I like Bohn, but he should have walked away from the long-term deal with these boobs,

Hate to break it to you guys hoping for the upset, but UNC lost to something called "Lindenwood" last week. CSU will win this game, and we'll have to put up with a week of CSU fans wanking to their 2-0 record (nevermind that they will have edged out a UNM squad that's 2-23 under Locksley and that UNC is one of the worst FCS teams) and how they've "turned the corner".

That is going to be CSU all season long. Look at this ****ing schedule:

@UNM
UNC
CU (Neutral)
@Utah State
San Jose State
Boise State
@UTEP
@UNLV
SDSU
@TCU
AFA
Wyo

Even CSU should come out of that with 7 - 8 wins, trumpeting their glory

Unfortunately. That schedule is an embarrassment, but they'll be reminded of their truthful place after CU crushes them and then they follow that up with a loss @ USU

No disrespect, but do you have a 3 paragraph minimum when you post?

They'll lose to CU, USU, Boise, TCU, AFA, SDSU and very possibly Wyo (judging by the last 2 years). If not Wyo, UTEP or UNLV will have a real shot at them at home. That would leave them 5-7 overall, tops...

5 - 7 tops.

You might be right. UNC, USU, SJSU, UTEP, UNLV, WYO all should be wins, but will CSU lose at least two of those? Probably. USU might be a little stronger than expected, they play UTEP on the road, and Wyo punked them by 44 last year. There's no discounting just how horrible CSU looked against UNM. Zero improvement whatsoever. Still, no excuses for not getting to 6-6, they couldn't possibly keep Fairchild after that.
