This team does not know how to win. Expect a rolling stone effect from here on out.

Really Matt? I'm as big a sunshine pumper as their is, but next week will be a struggle after this type of loss. tOSU is a loss. Wazzu is significantly better this year. After that, the meat grinder is in full effect. Sure we improved. Sure we have some talent. But, at the end of the day this team is mentally fragile. FACT.

we'll win 4 games....i was hoping for 6 but hey. i thought we showed something today. still losers at heart thanks to Dan but we try.

1st and 30, ouch. nice playcall by Cal.

congrats to the beers! Go Buffs! Next up CSU! I like watching this team a lot more than I liked watching last years. 'nuf said.

Season is far from over. I saw improvement from last week. We will only get better from here. That was most definitely a heartbreaking loss though.

We'll win next week.

Hard to be happy after a loss but this team is tough and has grown immensely compare to the last regime...

To be fair we weren't favored to win either of these games. If anyone was expecting a bowl game with this roster was just setting themselves up for disappointment. 1st and 30 and we give a 33 yard play on the 1st play? Embree doesn't have much to work with.

You can see they are using the talent as much as they can. Just isn't enough talent.

Is it really a talent issue at this point? Unnecessary penalties seemed to cost us this game, and poor execution against Hawaii. Can't say that talent has been the main factor thus far.

Wins people, not losses. THIS IS A GAME CU SHOULD HAVE WON 3 TIMES. This isn't hawk era. This sucks ass.

Yes, losing sucks. Shockingly, you're not the only one who gets that. But there is more to talk about than that. There were good things that happened and bad things that happened, and people WILL be able to talk about all of them here without getting attacked for making excuses and accepting losing.

Yeah! Take that Frumpy, you asshole.

Lack of talent didn't lose this game, lack of discipline did. I'm not seeing much on the recruiting front that ups the talent either...guess we'll see, I'm over the moral victories.

P.S. Richardson is an absolute monster

We're paper thin, and can't afford the penalties we're taking. On the other hand, there is some fine talent on this team, the o-line showed massive improvement over last week, etc. We need another running back. I'd like to see Tony Jones or whoever is going to complement Speedy get some reps.l

I know I am adding on to this thread, but please respond to a new thread, I would like to not see this thread title again when refreshing the posts... It just pisses me off even more, the kind of think a fusker would post here or something. I am nowhere near ready to write off this team or this season!

in 1986, CU started 0-4. to say that Mac was on a hot seat with the fans would be an understatement. the Buffs had been competitive in the 4 losses, but they were still losses. angry fans resigned themselves to another season without a bowl game and possibly a new head coach (assuming the money could be raised for a buyout-- marolt had given Mac an extension and he, too, was on the hot seat with the fans for what was viewed as misguided extension).

in game 5, CU played the fuskers, whom CU had not beaten since the 60s. the haters were in full roar. CU won that game and went on to qualify for a bowl game. it marked the turning point in the Mac era.

things can change.

A loss is a loss. At the same time, this program has been left in tatters so really what I want is for us to get better each and every game. Did we improve from last week? Hell yea we did. Did we improve over last year? HELL yeah we did!

It's going to be a bumpy road. We really should have won the game. But almost doesn't count. Embree knows this and will react accordingly. We need to come out just as fired up for CSU next week.

GO BUFFS!!!!

There was improvement, they have also had some bad luck. Penalties are mental discipline, something the last coach wasnt very good at eliminating. We will see if Embree improves it, he is essentially playing with someone elses team. There is a talent deficient on the team. They are seriously lacking in speed, and they need a lot of help in the secondary. This team isn't a bowl team, I would be shocked if they made it there.
