Running up and down the sidelines pumping up the crowd in overtime, is the coolest thing I have ever seen from a coach my life. That was amazing. One of the loudest I've heard Folsom.
Also aside from the false start I was very proud Sione he really relished his opportunity.
And finally How about that kicker. He was amazing his first field goal was pretty much kicked flat off the ground and then he drilled that no doubter from 52.

This makes me sad.:sad1:

Anyone here remember when CU really got loud? I'm sure Jeff George does. I think the refs were going to penalize the Buffs if the fans didn't quiet down.

Btw, the ole chant is really embarrassing. Impossible to defend the students when other fans asked about that.

Embree is good for Colorado football. McCartney and Hawkins both had dismal starts as well, so no telling where Embree will be on that spectrum but as a student of the former we all know how that one turned out. I just don't get the sudden despair from fans when we all new this was a program undergoing a major overhaul. Get people to buy in by being competitive. It's a tough schedule and the new staff arriving doesn't go Metamorphosis and wake up seeing a roster with the previous 4 recruiting classes being full of 4 and 5 star guys. Patience sucks but if this lack of discipline with the penalties continues in year 3 then I'll consider vaulting from the bandwagon. Right now I'm gonna give Embree and gang some time.

Sorry to say but nobody did the ole chant or at least I never heard/started it.

Weird on the Ole chants. Not deserved today. But we were going with the rugby punts today because as you saw on the one time we didn't do the rugby punt is that they were overloading the right side. And Darragh can kick left footed so we were rolling him out that way to avoid the rush.

I wish we could give that kid more time. He crushed the ball vs Hawaii.

Thanks from the explanation. I was sitting in the stands wondering when we added a left footed punter. Then I realized it was Darragh and wondered how the hell I'd gotten it into my head that he is right footed.

I love Embo's fire, but I've heard Folsom a lot louder than that. Not since OU 2007, though.

LOL Holy crap. I'm thinking about not sending him my CSU ticket now, hahaha.

OU 2007 was much louder than today imo, but today was loud. OU 2007 and 62-36 are the two loudest games of the millennium thus far

I apologize Creatini. My bad. Kinda cranky after watching Cal run on our field like it was the first win in school history.

I feel like had we won in OT several Buff fans (possibly students) would have acted in the same manner, then plenty more would have seen the act and with mob mentality would've followed onto the field as well and made a big spectacle of it.

Not to generalize about the students too much. I know the ones on this board have a better sense of what a hypothetical win would've meant tonight. Which is, more for the current state of the program but overall bush league in terms of what warrants a field rush.

The student section needs to be educated on Buff football...it will come. Let's give them a break. If they are acting this way in Jon's years 3-4, let's lead them to slaughter.

I've been going to games since '88 and that is about the loudest I've heard it in Folsom. Embo is a stud. Richardson is a ****ing beast.

Also a couple of observations:

1. Don't start the wave when the game is on the ****ing line (dumb students)
2. If I see one more mother ****er wearing USC **** to a non USC game, I'm kicking ass
3. If your gonna make an effort to come to a CU game, wear some CU gear. Not a Fat Tire, Metallica, Nascar, West Coast Choppers Shirt.

I'd still rather have coach Embree than Tetford. More upside.

You clearly were not in attendance against NU in 2001 or OU in 2007. No contest, IMO. NU 2001 is the loudest I've heard that stadium in over 30 years.

I don't think it was close to being the loudest. It was extremely loud in OT and at other moments. But it wasn't as consistently loud as some other games I've been to. It's way up there for an afternoon game, though. Nothing compares to a big night game.

OU may have been a morning game correct? Or was it 1:30? Either way that was one loud ass game. It was electric in that place... ah the good vibes we all had for Danny after that game.
