Cal Fans

Overall great people. The fans in front of me and MDelpizzo were awesome and just having a great time. We joked for most of the game with them.

One guy though. One piece of **** guy that I hope is in jail getting bum raped by a bum. This guy was the real life version of an internet troll. He didn't care one bit about the game he just wanted to piss off the buff fans in our section. Finally security moved him up to the top but he came back down about 20 minutes later. He was acting better. Still being douchey but better.

Then it happened. I didn't see it but right after a Cal TD he ran out of our section really fast. I looked down a few rows and a girl aged 8 or 9 was crying with a bloody nose. His friends said that he accidentally punched her after Cal scored. Accidents happen but instead of running to grab an usher he ran cause he knew things would get ugly. This is still a reasonable response. But then while the paramedics were fixing the girls nose Douchebag McGee starts taunting us from a new location. The security staff grabbed him at that point.

I want to reiterate that all the other Cal fans were really freakin cool but I've never seen any fan at any game do something that horrible.

He's lucky that Boulder is full of peace loving decents of hippies:smile: had he done that in Philly they would have beat the crap out of him before the ushers got there, in NY they would have thrown him over the rim of the stadium, Oakland would have just stabbed or shot him.

Some people are real scumbags, a few of them everywhere. Hope the little girl is okay.

That was undoubtedly liverflukes after too many Shirley Temples at the Lazy Dog.

Let me call out our students too, Really, fight song during the 9-11 moment of silence. You bastards made us look bad.

That was terrible. Did they say something? You couldn't really hear much in the student section.

Another thing that pissed me off was a few people behind us said they're leaving because it's embarassing and we're losing and then people were chanting "Let's get ****ed up!" after the game.

I think the fight song thing during the 9/11 tribute was fans outside the stadium waiting to get in. It seemed silent inside the stadium.

I was embarrassed that it took a full quarter to get the whole student section into the game. Seriously, get to the game students. Start drinking earlier if you have to.

No there was a small group by the front that was singing during the moment of silence... embarrassing.

There was a group in the student section that sang it as well, they promptly got told to shut the **** up.

Yeah thats what I meant... Front of the student section. I'm hoping they just didn't realize what was going on at the time. Still embarrassing though

I don't think they did, I sure as hell didn't, neither did my friends I was with.

Well, there's always one.

Can't control what douchebags decide to follow your team. I can say, though, that if I was at a game with a CU fan who started acting like that I'd drop him myself.

it was people coming into the stadium from the tunnels... the majority of the students were trying to hush them

Actually 68, I think I may have seen the tail end of this. I know you are just joking but if i see this *sshole out in Denver tonight, i will personally punch him in the face on behalf of humans everywhere. We moved to the left corner of the endzone later in the game and a douchebag Cal fan was dropping f bombs around kids we were sitting with and taunting the CU fans. He suddenly disappeared and I saw paramedics helping a little girl right behind the goal posts. Now that I realize why the paramedics were helping that little girl, I am embarrassed to have a dumbf*ck like that wearing anything affiliated with Cal. On behalf of all Cal fans and our great University, please accept our apologies for having this loser among our ranks.

No problem man. That sounds like the exact situation. It was odd. The guy could have just left but he kept taunting after he ran away.

Had a few Cal fans around me - they were all cool. Gotta say tho, that visitor section today made as little noise as I've ever (not) heard. Guess their fans are reaaaalllllly laid back ...

They got loud a few times, and of course were pretty pumped at the end of the game there. But yes, quieter then every single B12 team outside of ISU

I must say it was nice, with the exception of the one douche Cal fan to talk to and have fun with fans from another team without a bunch of ignorant things being said out loud around us.

gotta say, they weren't bad. Nice and quiet. I like that in opposing teams fans.

I almost added a j/k at the end of my message, but knew you would get it. However, I didn't realize what a madman this was. Was he alone? I can't imagine any fellow Bear being with him or going along with the behavior. Must have been alcohol/altitude/drugs/mental illness. I hope they caught him and threw him in the hoosegow.

Yeah, having OU and NU and A&M fans insulting CU fans to our faces and then calling us "classless" to boot is not something I'm going to miss about the big 12(10, 9, 11 whatever).

My guess = Combo of no hateful rivalry (yet), altitude, ferocious hangovers and several bong loads from new Colo friends w/ or w/o Rx.

That + Cal just not being a fan base that travels well, at least compared to many of the Big XII heathens

I don't know if we're classy or not. Probably not. But I sure as **** didn't want to be considered "classy" based on how it was defined by the Big 12 competitors.

I really didn't want those folks to like us.

To sum up that conference's fans in pictures:

First game Ive been to in Boulder and my 4 year olds first Cal game. CU fans were great. My boy wanted to high five every Cal TD and the CU fans gave him high fives. I was surrounded by Buffs but it was a great group and an awesome atmosphere..look forward to going back. My new favorite Pac 12 fans. Not sure about that Cal clown but every group has "that guy" sorry he ruined a CU game and not the Furd or U$C.

We all have those "fans" hell we probably have more than a few of those douches. As long as everyone realizes that, and that one douche does not equal a fanbase its no problem. Its when people (fusker fans) allege that ALL CU fans are 'pissbombers' (none imo), push old ladies down stairs (doubtful), key cars (possibly, but definitely doesn't represent our fanbase, and definitely happens everywhere not just CU), thats what makes us angry. We understand that besides one bad apple, Cal fans have been fantastic, and sounds like they think the same. This Pac12 think may take some getting used to...

I've said it 100 times...I don't have to hate my opponent's fanbase. In fact I prefer when I don't.

I hope we're able to maintain friendly relations with our new Pac conference-mates over time. Except for those ****ers at USC, whose old ladies I will gladly push down stairs while piss-bombing their band.
