What a great atmosphere, everything was in place today for this program to get some momentum going. Had a great time pregame and the Super Nachos were truly "SUPER". Best Nachos at any sporting event!

The refs: Geez they were horrible, I'm not going to get into the calls but at least get a freaking mic/PA system that works so the fans can follow the game. I still don't know how Cal moved from midfield to about the 10 yd line when there were flags all over their backfield and I clearly saw them holding. Refs were a JOKE and that doesn't even account for some of their crappy calls, and yes we benefited from at least one but most were slanted toward Cal.

Hansen: The guy had some great passes that hit Richardson in stride but holy cow he had a few blown throws too. The one that sticks out the most was at the beginning where he went to his 3rd read that was wide open doing jumping jacks at the 10... He threw the ball into the end zone like he was throwing to Usain Bolt in an all out sprint. Hansen clearly is not comfortable in the pocket yet, lots of wild throws that easily could have put many more pts on the board if he would calm down. I had no idea he had that many yards today until I got home. Geez, if he calms down, he could have thrown for another couple hundred yards and a few more TDs. Hopefully things gel and he gets better as the season goes on.

O-Line: See Hansen above, they need to find a way to get him more comfortable. Some better run blocking would be nice too. And quit getting stupid penalties. I thought Dan snuck in the stadium for a while there with all the dumb penalties.

Paul Richardson: We need another one of those! Hope we have him for the next two years...

D: Save for our secondary, I like our D. It gets pressure on the QB and is getting much better. Still have to tackle better! The secondary though, geez, turn your freaking head, they will rack up penalties until they start looking for the ball. This will be the achilles heel all season but could be a strong point in a year or two if they use this experience to get better since they are so young.

Kickers: We are in good shape the next 4 years here. Just have to stop kicking it out of bounds on the kickoffs.

Coaching: Embree is a man on fire! Loved it! He was worth the price of admission. He was firing up the crowd like no other and you could see that anywhere in the stadium! We will need to get some backup headsets and hats for that man. How they survived after that no call when they tried to kill our punter is beyond me. Loved the play calling, EB is doing a good job of mixing things up. I don't know what the run/pass ratio is but it was not very predictable. If that run game gets going we will have the D on their heels alot. Oh, and when you have a team that has little to no confidence you have to kick that field goal in the first qtr like that. Gotta get points when you can!

I haven't had season tickets since 2001 but I have to say I did have alot of fun today (until that last TD in OT). I am sure some people are ready to rip this team and the coaches but this team has no idea how to win, I dont think anyone on the team has ever experienced a winning season in college football before. The staff really has a steep mountain to climb to get these guys to know how to win. I hope this loss doesn't turn off the great support that I saw today but with this loss and the Mile High game looming next week... Geez, it would have been nice to get a win and build on the support and momentum that I saw today.

Go Buffs!

That is asking a lot... We may never see a talent like that again for awhile. I don't mean to praise a guy so much especially after a loss, but oh my was that a performance, he is a talent the likes we have not seen in awhile. I remember the expectations I've had for Ochs, Houston, Scott.... and even those expectations weren't what I've seen out of Prich. Best WR since... well I don't consider him a Buff (you know who), so best WR since Westbrook I'll say.

From 212 it was very cool. I havent been to many games since I was in the student section so it was a little disheartining to see the sort of lack luster crowd participation. I was standing for some important plays and kinda felt guilty cause I was blocking the view of the people behind me. But when we got to the fourth and I said **** it and started standing forcing those around me to stand. I was shouting at people to stand up and cheer. When embo was on the field getting the crowd up they all started to pick it up and the place got pretty crazy. Deffinately the most fun at a game in a long time. You could see the crowd was getting ready for a loss but then they started to believe. I think getting the fans to believe is just as important as getting the players to do it.

On other notes. Forgot how bad our sound system is. Need to upgrade. And WTF with the no mike on the refs?! Made the game even more confusing and frustrating than their bushleague officiating. Not blaming the refs for a loss but it was like a jv reffing crew.

I was excited and believe that our boys are on their way back. I know we still killed ourselves too much but I saw us respond and play like we thought we were going to win.

Totally agree on the refs. If they calls weren't so crappy it would have been easy to follow but the wild calls combined with no explanations left us all confused. Then they distracted us with Alec Burks and Cal moved up like 40 yards. No one knew what was going on.

As the game went on people were standing more but after spending so many years in the student section standing, it is tough to watch a game sitting on that uncomfortable metal bleecher.
