in order to deal with the issue of equal access to all territories, what if the league subsidized a showcase conference game in, say 4 nfl/nfl level locations (dallas, denver, la, sf) every year. and, in these showcase games, the 2 conf. teams playing would be from a different region. and, you'd rotate every year.

so, for example, in one year, maybe you'd get CU v. ut in the colosseum, usc v. oregon at jerry's palace, cal v. uw at mile high, and utah v. asu at the 'stick.

not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but i'm just spitballin' an idea...

Interesting thought but how many in Colorado would really go see cal @ uw in mile high (other than me of course). It wouldn't fill the stadium the way a home game or bowl game will. Basically it would make fan support/travel very difficult for those games.

...although it would be really funny to see (on TV) USC vs. Texas @ Century Link Field (old Qwest) on a cold, November rainy day in Seattle:lol:

As DD said, Pac-12 teams don't travel. That idea would work in the SEC, but not in the Pac-12.

Hell, we can't even figure out how to get people to the conference basketball tournament and had to do the football championship on campus.

Football games belong on campus with maybe two exceptions. Florida/UGA and RRS.

What about the RMS? Why would you ever want to get rid of that electric atmosphere... nothing like a half empty Sports Authority Field at 11:30 in the morning. Much better than playing at Folsom
