Texas scared of the SEC

Texas can't dictate power in the SEC. Nor can they do it in the Pac 12. Which is why they are going to the ACC

Texas isn't scared of the SEC competition wise, however they are scared to be associated with inbread hicks (ironic), poor academics, and loss of total control.

You got one right. Loss of total control. As the article points out, the academics argument when you now take CU, NU, and aTm out of the Big 12 is no longer valid.

Yup, Texas was that bully kid who was more than happy to be held back a grade.

I didn't read the article but switch UT with NU and you may have a point. Academics @ UT > NU.

Did you type that with a strait face. Bull to the ****.
Texas is scared ******** of being a middle of the table SEC team.

Then why did they stay in a conference with KSU, A&M, TT, Baylor, OSU, and OU again?

I sent that article to all of my UT friends and colleagues. Their replies had more ALL CAPS than I've seen in my life. Touchy touchy.

Football is driving this, but the lesser revenue sports in which Texas has been just short of dominant also stand to suffer from a competition standpoint. SEC baseball and swim/dive would give UT a run for their money on a yearly basis, more so than the Big 12 has. Fewer banners to hang around and feel good about themselves for.

Texas should be concerned as to whether there is any remaining stink on them related to:

Former Associate AD Cleve Bryant (AKA "old-freak-nasty") was fired for sexual harassment

UT fired most everyone associated or named, but, isn't this ten times worse than any allegations brought against CU during "the scandal?"

Then you have the UT genius fans weigh in with such unreal statements as "Cleve denies wrongdoing. That's good enough for me."

Christian Fauria's at the news desk in the video above that first story you linked to. I approve.
