Parker Orms, Ayodeji Olatoye, Paul Vigo, Josh Moten and Liloa Nobriga --

I dont know what they did but whatever it was it seems like they are being made an example of. Hey, the season is lost in terms of winning anything with a trophy and we most likely aren't going to a Bowl of any sorts. This is the perfect time to get in these guy's ears and decide who really wants to be on this team. The more that don't the faster the staff can figure out what they have and get their own guys in here.

Correct me if I am wrong as I don't know the #ers but by I think by spring ball next year it is possible to have half the team or more recruited by the current staff.

from rivals offer list

Josh Moten (CA)- Offers to CU, Washington and NC A&T
Lilo Nobriga (NV)- Offers to CU, Hawaii, UNLV, Utah
Deja Olatoye (OH)- Offers to CU, Eastern Washington, Ohio, Villanova
Paul Vigo (NJ)- Offer only to CU
Parker Orms (CO) Offer to CU, UNLV, Wyoming

Again none of them highly recruited.

I like that Embree is cleaning house. There are few coaching staffs in the nation with better potential to recruit than ours. Obviously it is not easy to recruit when we are losing all our games but I think most people can see the writing on the wall. Also, think about it from a parent's perspective. I'd want my kid going to a school where I know the coach is going to instil discipline. Let's ramp up recruiting-think we need to add more corners next year!

It's too bad our secondary is taking another hit, but if these guys weren't meeting the standards that were outlined to them, then this is an easy decision. I'm sure there's another side to the story, but right now I'm okay with this...even if we don't win another game.

Hopefully it will be addition through subtraction. It is a great sign for the future of your program IMHO.

BAMA is right on with this comment. The short-term effects will be felt but long-term and by that I mean by next year, this team will be quickly turning the corner. GET ON THE BUS OR GET UNDER IT FELLAS. THE PRIDE AND TRADITION OF THE COLORADO BUFFALOES WILL NOT BE ENTRUSTED TO THE TIMID OR THE WEAK!!!

All about discipline and expectations. The last five years things have been so wishy-washy that no one new what to expect and so nobody expected anything.

This doesn't make things easier for the coaches, nobody likes to go out and get kicked but it is better to get kicked with honor than to lose in shame. Don't want to be part of the solution then we will go with the guys that do.

We may end the season only needing one bus to transport the team but everyone on it will completely on it.

Get ready for some ugly scores ahead of better days.

I'm good with it.

Well, no one can contest that a) Embree has enormous balls and b) is all in at this point.

whelp, this gonna be a lot of iron man football. Can you imagine if more injuries occur? Speedy will be our starting CB

I wish i knew how to edit gifs.

Meh . . . CU's not winning many more games this season no matter who's suspended or not. It would take more balls to suspend players during a season that means something (see Tressel, James for a complete lack of balls last season.) That being said, I think it's good to lay down the law early so maybe that Ohio State bull**** doesn't happen down the line, so I applaud Embree's decision--for now. I reserve the right to get pissed if I find out that the punishment doesn't fit the crime, though.

This is a perfect time for this IMO. We are likely not going to win again this season anyway, so we may as well cut the dead weight and send a message to the rest of the team. It can't get any worse, so we may as well clean house.

Discipline matters on and off the field

Understanding that this makes an already hard to watch team even worse, at some point the mind set of this team MUST change. For the last few years the players have demonstrated on and off the field an astonishing lack of discipline. The moronic penalties and stupid mistakes on the field have been mirrored by a series of off field incidents of varying severity. The entire ethos of the team appears to have been, do what you want and to h@ll with the rules. The fact that this corrosive attitude continued under the new staff was concerning. If this is Embree's way of teaching that lesson, of telling current and future players that from now on the rules apply and those that break them will face consequences then I am all for it. CU in the near term will not win on talent but on playing harder smarter tougher and more disciplined ball than more talented teams. This action must be part of the process to teach that.

I'd like to see this sooner than later. I haven't seen it in 5+ years.
