Zach Dancel - potential transfer from New Mexico?

With the problems they've had, players are going to be eligible to transfer.

Zach was a running QB in high school who was brought to Georgia Tech on an official visit. Illinois offered him as a Safety, but he signed with New Mexico as a Safety due to Mike Locksley's connections in Maryland.

Runs a 4.6 forty and clocked in at 4.2 in the shuttle, showing decent speed and great quickness. Right at 6 feet tall, he's a heck of an athlete with very good field awareness.

We need him for our secondary. Does he sit out a year or can he play next year?

Would not mind us bringing in an experienced safety. Obviously we need a lot of help in our secondary.

I like the sound of this. Good size, decent speed. And can't blame anybody for wanting out of that mess in New Mexico, if that's what he decides to do...

We're not talking about football anymore, are we?

Another reason to like this: doesn't count against our 25 scholly limit per class.

Nice ball skills, good in run support, and can hit. Of course!

Is this just 100% speculative wishful thinking....or has he actually inquired about transferring to CU or elsewhere?

I was going to ask the same thing but I don't think nik ever puts up posts which aren't based on something. Now if bcs had put the post up...

What problems have they had besides a bad coach?

How is he/other players going to get around the transfer rule? Is UNM being sanctioned (possible I missed it since I don't keep track of all this)?

recruit got a DWI while driving the coaches car.
