After getting boat-raced in our upcoming games, there is light at the end of the tunnel to finish the season with some Ws when we play Arizona, UCLA, and Utah. Those teams have been very disappointing this season (too). I hope that the players won't check out during those games because a lot of these guys have a shot to go out on a winning note against these other teams who are also not good.

BTW, hammering UCLA to help put a nail in slick's coaching coffin can be another thing to look forward to this season. Everything's not lost.....

Yep. And this is why the WSU and Cal losses really hurt. Not that we have any business being in a bowl game, but win those two games, pull off the upset against USC and beat UCLA, UA and Utah to close it out and we're bowl eligible. I acknowledge I am delusional by even thinking this would be somewhat plausible if we had beaten WSU and Cal.

I think our young guys will have some good playing time by the end of the season, so ending the season on a good note is definitely a possibility! Sure would make recruiting and going I to the off season a he'll of a lot better.

That said, we are definitely underdogs in every game we play the rest of the way...

Another thing... we are trying to emulate the school we just played last week. Before this year, here are their last five years of results...

1-11
4-8
5-7
8-5
12-1

We don't have an all world QB who'll assuredly be the first player selected next April. We could get there, especially since our staff has a lot of experience and we will be playing younger players more in the next 2-3 seasons. This could take until this staff's third season, as it did with the genius Harbaugh in Palo Alto. But, once we will out our scholarships and get this thing rolling, I see nice things for us.
