PG- dinwiddie
SG- Carlon Brown
SF- Jeremy Adams
PF- Austin Dufault
C- Andre Roberson

backups
PG- Tomlinson
SG- Askia Booker
C- Tunks
SG- Chen

I know it is risky to start a freshman at point guard, but heard a lot of good things about Dinwiddie passing ability and he is now at 190 pounds tall PG. If he struggles, Tomlinson is a good backup. They can also play together. Chen is a good 3 point shooter, should provide that off the bench. Askia Booker is a high energy type combo guard off the bench. Tunks is coming off an ACL injury won't start him to start the season. Push the ball up and down the floor, like the old Doug Moe teams, bring in Tunks for interior defense if we are facing a bigger team.

That starting lineup that we think Boyle will us or the one that we would personally do?

The PG position is a very puzzling one. I would bet that Dinwiddie will start, but it also sounds like he will be taking a wing position. A tough guess until we get practice reports. We will also go small quite often, in which we have three guards on the court. The three guard rotation is a favorite of Boyle to speed up play. But, I doubt that is how we will start out games.

G- Dinwiddie
G- Carlon Brown
F- Austin Dufault
F- Andre Roberson
F/C- Tunks

backups
G- Tomlinson
G- Sharpe
G- Askia Booker
G- Chen
G- Beau
F- Jeremy Adams
C- Ben Mills (redshirt bet)

PG - Nate
SG - Dinwiddie
SF - Brown
PF - Dufault
C - SHT

Roberson is the first guy off of the bench. Booker is second followed by Adams. Chen & Sharpe round out the rotation.

God, I really wish we had another big because I want to redshirt Mills, but that may not be an option.

No chance Andre doesn't start. You might be correct about Mills though.

With our lack of depth up front, and Dre's flexibility, it wouldn't surprise me to see him coming off of the bench.

He's going to play 25 mpg a night, I just don't think he'll be starting. Remember, it's not who starts, it's who finishes.

I would love to see Sharpe or Dinwiddie take of the PG role for this team. Use Tomlinson in a similar role as Knutson last year.

Nate
Carlon
Dre
Austin
SHT

Heavy rotation subs:
Dinwiddie
Shannon
Adams
Chen

completely agree with this except i would add a "surprise" big to the rotation just to eat up fouls like Beckley towards the end of last year, most likely Trey

Our BLA (best lineup available) would be

PG: Dinwiddie
SG: JA
SF:Carlon
PF:Fly Dre
C: SHT

Bench: Ski, Dufault, Nate, Shannon
Gives us length, defense and scoring. I'm done with Austin, great guy just not a great player. Nate is a great leader for us, just dont think he will be effective anymore based on what ive seen from him. If he develops a more capable three ball he would be nice off the bench. I expect Adams and Carlon to handle most of the scoring load, no doubt they can fill it up. Theres no way Tad can keep Dre out of the starting lineup based on last year and this summer. I think SHT gets in there simply because hes 6'11. Off the bench i expect Askia and Dufault to get a lot of pt with Shannon and Nate spelling Dinwiddie. I have a feeling one of those points may get squeezed out (Shannon)basically because he brings next to nothing at the offensive end. If Chen could'nt get off the bench at DU, dont see him making much of an impact this year at all.

Black and yellow? Big Steelers fan?
Beer and sandwich... Now.

Ok just making sure you werent one of those confused people who think our colors are black and yellow.

1 - Nate
2 - Spencer
3 - Carlon
4 - Dre
5 - Shane

Austin will be the key man off the bench, because if we want to redshirt Mills we're going to need Austin to play some 5 again this year when we go small ball. We are really missing Cain for our rotations. Scott and Gordon can't get here fast enough. Eckloff needs to give us some quality minutes as a senior.

To start the season I have Nate, Brown, Adams, Dufault and SHT. At the end of the season, I'm hoping Dinwiddie takes over for Nate.

The reason that I'm quoting this post is that I agree with the Dre sentiment. He will play a lot, but him off the bench may be a wise decision.

Some of you state Chen - I don't think he plays a lot this year at all. I also think either Sharpe or Booker will play, and the other will be resting a lot. Even if Mills doesn't redshirt...he will not play a whole lot. I don't think redshirting him will effect the team too much.

If you know anything about the game its obvious our starting line up should be

Dinwiddie
Adams
Brown
Dre
SHT

Simply they would give us the best chance to win. Askia should be our first man of the bench i could see him getting double figure points easy. Im only ok with Dufault getting like fifteen minutes a game he seems to only play well against bad non conference teams. Nate might be valuable but this year i see him as primarily a spot up shooter with dinwiddie running point. I dont see any others getting into the rotation. I feel bad for Dre having his boy Air Shannon not getting any playing time.

Outrageous! That would be like putting an all conference guard at fullback. GTFO with that crazy talk.
Maybe I'm remembering wrong, so correct me if so, but. (sentence structure be damned) He wasn't an all conference guard. He was an all freshman team whatever. How many other freshmen were there getting pt on the ol in the bif12?

I think he would have been a hell of a fullback in front of dscott.

Those of you that don't have dre starting have clearly lost your mnd, outside of brown he is cu's best player with most upside, he will start at the 4 with sht at 5.

Tomlinson - tad seems to have some sort of trust factor him at the 1, dinwiddle may end the season here but nate starts it
Carlon
Adams (dinwiddle could start here)
Dre
Sht

SHT and Adams sat out of the first practice according to Coach Abatemarcoj. I don't have access to the post-game interview by Rivals, but I would be interested to hear why.

No idea. Boyle said he was only interested in talking about players who are actually on the court.

Love it.
