The Big East probably did look at CSU. That's why the Big East isn't considering CSU...
Yes, and they saw awesomeness, but CSU didn´t want to join CUSA, so CUSA did the next best thing and approached the MWC about a merger because they wanted to be associated with CSU at all costs.

IF Boise joins the Big "East", they´ll have to change their name for sure .... won´t they? I know it´s all a matter of perspective, but how many FBS teams are located West of Boise?
Air Force and Boise would be football only. Houston, SMU, and UCF would be all sports. Navy seems to be balking due to Army not joining and continued potential of Big Least unstability. Personally, I really don't see why Boise would join the Big Least for football only. Would the rest of their sports stay in the MW (and would the MW let them stay if they move the football program out)? And, I don't think Air Force moves unless Army and Navy do as well. Guess we'll see ....
