Finish to the class

ATL

My take on what would be an incredible (perfect) (semi-realistic) finish to the class. This is assuming we sign 25. Could be more could be less.

Let me know your thoughts.

QB- Shane Dillon
RB-Davien Payne, Terrence Crowder, Wes Brown
WR- Jeff Thomas, Gerald Thomas, Peyton Williams, Chris Harper /or Cameron Countryman
TE- Sean Irwin, Blake Jackson(JC)/ or Taylor McNamara
OL- Gerrad Kough, Jeromy Irwin, Alex Kozan, Jordan Williams
DL- Justin Solis, Tyler Henington, Korren Kirven, Mike Pennel(JC)
LB- Clay Norgard, Reshawn Hooker, Jake Schany
DB- Ma'ne Manea, Ishmael Adams /or Yuri Wright
ATH- Erich Wilson, Brett Bafaro

I know nothing about this stuff. But don't we need more than two DB's?

We'll do better than that (except at DB where I don't expect us to get both Ish or Yuri - one would be a surprise, actually).

Still a little hope but I'm not holding my breath with Yuri Wright or Adams.

fify

Adams, Wright, and Bafaro will not be Buffs.

And if the coaches only sign 4 DL and 2-3 DBs, that is dropping the ball in a big way. We need to load up on DL and DBs in this class in a big way.

Funny, I remember a certain poster on this board guaranteeing that Yuri would be a Buff.

We're gonna sign at least 5 prospects were not even in on right now iyam

Totally agree. It always works out that way. Probably be more than 5, actually. Although some of them will be guys we're in on right now but we fans just don't know about.

We need to land Wes Brown and 2 people that can play TE next year. Get a couple of solid OL prospects.

Really need to load up on D. I still think we're more of a 4-3 than a 3-4, so I'm not sure how big of a need a pure NT is, but we need another DT regardless. 2-3 DEs preferably. LB not a huge need, but it'd be nice to land Hooker or Thomas Brown. I really want to see us take a chance on Tyler Hasty and Will Jackson. Chris Solomon a favorite of mine as well.

If we sign 25 players we need to have at least 8 to 10 of them being lineman. And they can't be all dead weight. The line of scrimmage is our biggest weakness. They are slow especially on the defensive side of the ball.

I figured. Finishing this class off with a bunch of ** and a few *** isn't going to do anything to get us back to winning more games than we lose. You luck out with a few under the radar guys, but it's no way to rebuild a wreck of a program. The OL recruiting has been downright alarming, and it's not much better in many areas on defense.

Hope one of these QB's can come out and miraculously exceed our expectations next year, because that might be the only way we ever get any traction and get this ****show off the ground

Who's saying under the radar guys? Kids have breakout senior years but didn't go to camps their junior year summer so they didn't pick up offers prior to their senior year. Yeah we'll get some under the radar guys (like Erich Wilson) but I'd be willing to bet we will be in on some good players this offseason.

in addition to signing some studs, i hope we don't lose any of our current commits with our ugly play. have to believe that other teams are in these players' ears telling them it's a big gamble to play at CU.

If there was one thing I was sure on, it was that this staff would recruit with the best... now I'm not sure

I think the staff is doing an OK job recruiting outside the state of CO. I really like Dillon, I like where we are at with WR's. It is disappointing to see us behind on OL and TE but we are still in on a couple very highly rated players and the additions to the DL have been nice.

Clearly we lack team speed and depth at the moment and I have a feeling Embree will be bringing in close to 30 guys this year. With that many you can expect at least 5 or 6 of them will be 2 star guys. They are either going to be OL or speed athlete types would be my guess.

I have a feeling you are going to see CU football get better next year. A couple years of this NFL attitude and we should have some tough minded and bodied players.

If Wood/Hirsh/Dillon are all whiffs at QB then all bets are off.

I would love to see a staff outside of the SEC who could recruit a top 25 class when we haven't had a winning season since 2005 and have been a joke since we played ISU in 2005 but having said that, I would like for the staff to bring in a young gun to help recruit.

This subject has come up several times and as far I can tell, no one expected a top 25 class. We're in the bottom quarter of the Pac-12... yeah.

My expectation was a top 40 class. I don't think we are on pace for that right now and I can't say that we have landed very many difference makers as Freshman. I was really hoping we would have 3 or 4 guys who could come in and compete for playing time on Day 1. We may have that with the WR's but that is something that is hard to judge from HS to college.

To finish inside a top 40 class we are going to have to land Brown at RB, McNamara at TE, flip Thurston/Callahan and probably land Adams or Wright at DB. I just don't see all of that happening.

Just thinking that right now should be a Top 25 recruiting class playing as SR's and RS JR's from Hawk. Major, Katoa, D.Scott. Speedy. What could have been.

Washington coach came in after an 0-12 season and recruited better than this. Again, excuses is all hear just like Hawk was given.
