How many games have you been to?

RK

Just downloaded the "ESPN Passport" app for my phone which keeps track of every game you have been to for any sports team and allows you to go back and look at the stats from all your games, your teams record in those games and look at comments people had about the game.
The app lets you go back and add games so obviously I added all the Buffs games Ive been to and heres what I found:

I have attended 69 Buffs games in my life this saturday being my 70th. Pretty good for only being 19 y.o
In those games the Buffs have a record of 44-25

Making me realize the Buffs were damn good at home when I was a kid (which is probably why I became such a big fan) because a lot of those losses piled up in the last five years of adding games to my passport UGH.

So How many games do you think you have been to?

1982-1987: Occasional games
1988-2001: Missed 1 home game (Iowa 92), attended every CU game in Lincoln in the 90's, attended 3 bowl games.
2002-2004: Attended 2 games (I lived out of state)
2005-current: Missed 5 home games

2000 to 2005 missed 1 home game and this was it

I made all but 4 home games between 1996 and this year, plus Big 12 championships in 01, and maybe 03 or 04 (can't remember), the UCLA game, FSU game, Fiesta bowl, and Washington game this year. So I'm guessing that is pretty close to 70 as well. The cool thing is that the 62-36 was my first CU-Nebraska game ever, since I would go home for thanksgiving every year before that.

Id say your probably closer to 80 or 90 My number comes from me not missing a game since Fresno State 2001.

Haven't missed a home game since 1997. Gonna see how many that is in a minute.

I've probably averaged 7 games a year for the last 30 years. Prior to that, it was probably more like 4-5 games a year for 7 or so years. I guess that comes to around 240 games total. That's just CU games. Throw in a couple dozen Bronco games, Avs games, Rockies games, and even the occassional Nuggets and original Rockies games.

I went to all home games '77 - '80, '90 - '92, '01 - present
Only made a few home games between '92 - '00 (out of state) (maybe 4 games)
1 Holiday Bowl (CU-UW), 3 Fiesta Bowls (Syr, ND, Ore.) 1 Orange Bowl (Jan 1, 1991!!!)
Went to CU games @ Neb (5), Oklahoma (1), KSU (1), USC (1), UCLA (1), Stanford (1) edit; ASU (1) (forgot about this one. like sitting in a sauna!)

I think that's all. So approximately 131 games. I have no idea what my overall win % is but for bowl games it's 3-2 with 1 national championship! For away games it's 5-6 with wins over OU, KSU, UCLA and the Nubs twice.

Since I arrived in Boulder in Fall of 2005, I've been to every home game and a total of 6 true away games (CSU doesn't count) for a total of 49. My record as an observer is 28-21.

My away games have been:

@OSU in 2005 (we shut them out at their own homecoming/family weekend and the marching band got the game ball)
2005 Big 12 championship (I don't like to talk about this one)
2005 Champs Sports Bowl (Loss vs. Clemson but a fun trip regardless)
@ASU in 2007 (absolutely brutal. It was over 110 degrees on the field at kickoff. Add at least 10 degrees for uniforms)
2007 Independence Bowl (We almost beat Alabama. Shreveport was nasty. That's about it.)
@KU in 2008 (Road loss in typical Hawk fashion. Didn't get to see Lawrence at all. Pretty lame overall.)

1973-1977 All home games except one + at Air Force, KU, Texas Tech, Bluebonnet Bowl vs Texas, Orange Bowl vs Ohio State
1978-2004 All home games + at Michigan, Michigan State, Kansas State, Texas, Arizona, Washington, Oregon, UCLA, Stanford, Bluebonnet Bowl vs Baylor, Freedom Bowl vs BYU, Freedom Bowl vs Washington, Orange Bowl vs Notre Dame (2), Fiesta Bowl vs Syracuse, Fiesta Bowl vs Oregon
2005 - on home games vs Miami OH & California

You can do the math - I'm too old!!

estimated college football total: 90
CU: 35

simply put, i'm in my 20s, but i'm going to have one hell of a resume if i make it to old age

Not counting the CSU game outside of Folsom, I've been to 81 straight games at Folsom and a record of 55-26.
