With the talent disparity as we rebuild compounded by tons of guys out and trying to get a lot of reps for young guys before they're ready to compete on this level... Oregon could have named its score today.

Lot of class to let off the gas once they had the game well in hand. I wasn't an Oregon supporter going into this game, but I won't be rooting against them any more and will definitely be on their side when they're playing in the non-conference from now on.

It's going to take a few years until we get to the point where a true freshman is only playing if he's a special talent, but we'll get there. I look forward to the matchups with the Ducks once we're back and we hold up our end of making the game fun and competitive.

Well said, Nik.

35 points in the 1st quarter, 10 pts in the rest of the game. That was straight pity. Thanks ducks.

I am surprised because Kelly has laid it on a few people before but he did take his foot off the gas but did it in a way that wasn't condecending or insulting.

Post game interview he was pretty complementary of Embree. "Well they had a couple less athletes than we do but the played hard."

Do you miss the Big XII? Didn't think so.

That's the way it's supposed to work, I don't give them "props"

When you're crushing your opponent, that's when you take the time to get your backups reps. They started with their backups, and then put in THEIR backups by the second quarter.

That's how teams continue to stay on top. It ****ING BLOWS! If they would have kept their starters in, it would have hurt their program in the future. **** Oregon

Their fans are kind of douches, and the 2 pt conversion to start the game was irksome, but I appreciate that they let up on us early

I was pleasantly surprised Oregon went with their tidy whitey uniforms. The didn't bring their neon and gimmicky helmets. They took care of business in the first quarter, cemented the lead, and then cycled in their "scrubs" for three quarters of mop-up duty.

Their players were disciplined, and didn't showboat or pick fights.

My opinion of Chip Kelly is better after this game than before. (Think Boise State a couple years ago, the recruiting and team discipline issues in fall camp.)

Kelly is head and shoulders above ASU's Erickson in my book.

Apparently Kelly and Embree are good friends outside of work - might have had something to do with it.

Perhaps they didn't take their foot off the pedal as much as your third and fourth stringers stopped the backups to their backups. Whatever altruistic credit the Buffs may want to give to Chippy and the floaters, it may have simply been that he didn't want any more of his starters risking injury. I'm sure the Big 12 sucked balls but giving Whoregon credit for not running up the score or associating them with "class" is misguided in my humble opinion. Spend a couple of years in the PAC and play them at Autzen. I would be surprised if appreciation for their kindness is still your collective sentiment.

Perhaps. That's the opinion I had of them before. But on this day they did things the right way, liverflukes. I give credit where credit is due.

When we used to be competitive and kicked their ass in the Cotton Bowl under Skippy, Bellotti was a sour grapes whiner. We have some experience with their kind.

they did let up on on the pedal. whatever motives they had, they could literally have scored 100 if they wanted to do so. so, i give them credit for not doing what mack brown or tom osborne would have done.

welcome to 1982, boys.

I was pissed when they went for it on fourth down, but they failed to convert anyway so I got over it quick.

We can agree that their fans are douche-nozzles. I would put them last in the fan rankings thus far, right behind UW. A LOT of T-Shirt fans at the game today, and a lot of them were acting like true assholes in Balch

 Spot on. Sadly, you will have plenty of notes to compare when SC shows up in a few weeks. It will be interesting to see who the Buffs think are the worst fans in the PAC

The rankings are pretty easy so far. Best to worst

1) Cal

2)WSU

3) Stan

4) UW
5) Oregon

I was careful when choosing my words, and limiting my praise to Chip Kelly, not the entire Oregon fan base.

Canada Duck did us a favor with his contribution to the eye candy thread, and I'd welcome him back anytime.

I'm open to hearing from those who went to the game to chime in on how their traveling fans behaved in Boulder this weekend.

I've been avoiding Oregon message boards, though.

Stan gets the middle spot cause they were mostly invisible

Lots of ignorance from their fans. Few wanted to acknowledge the advantages they'd received from Phil Knight.

I went to the game with our designer who is a TTU grad. He likes CU, but isn't a CU 'guy'. He went to the pisser in Balch and came back and said he almost got in a fight. If you knew this guy you would know how impossible that would seemingly be. This was late 3rd quarter. Said the Oregon fans were in there chanting and singing, which isn't in itself bad, but that he had multiple people get in his face while he was going into the trough to piss.

My main annoyance is with the huge amount of bandwagon fans that were there today. And the huge sense of entitlement that I gathered from them in my few interactions. I look forward to the day when the tables are turned again and we start beating the crap out of them again.

He did have a decent post game interview...."CU has been hampered by injury, and we have a few more players than them.". Very generous.

Haha np - but the reality is that it isn't even close. Cal is hard to hate because they remind me a lot of CU. Fans are smart, humble and funny.

Well here are some things I saw from duck fans in the middle of the CU section
-Some douche walking up the aisle with his face painted and blowing one of those stupid duck quackers.
-Some duuche walking up the aisle with his hands in a O the whole time yelling, "seventy five to zero!"
-Several douches acting like they just went ahead in the national championship game on their 35th and 42nd points of the game.
-Some douche walking out after the game with one of those stupid sticky gloves with an Oregon logo when you put them together showing and yelling at everybody in sight.

Reminded me of fusker fans, It's too bad because Oregon doesn't have half the history and tradition that Nebraska does.
