DD Goodson

UBL
Came in as an ATH
He was a RB for all of fall camp
Burned his redshirt and played DB this weekend
Is he an official convert to DB or is this just need based and he will go back to RB?

I would imagine it's just need based. What's his injury status?

I guess he might make a decent NB in time, I don't want to see someone that makes Terror Smith look big out there at safety or corner.

Apparently, the coaches ran some 7on7 drills to try to find defensive backs. DD did well, practiced 2 days on defense, and then started at DB for us. Tells me he has potential, but man does it illustrate how thin our depth chart is.

Who was he up against? Because anyone can look good against some of our wide receivers. But I congratulate him for coming in and getting it done. He clearly is talented and it will be interesting to see if he does play against Arizona how he deals with their deep threat.

I don't like his size at the position but he runs a 4.4 which pops out on tape running next to our other guys. I think he's still an athlete and could wind up numerous places but I see us filling all spots at HB while EB is here. Maybe DB is the logical choice. Could see him fill that Harvin role once we develop some depth on offense. He and Gerald Thomas would be naturals at it.
