As soon as the "evaluation period" is over in late November, the entire staff can hit the road and work hard on getting recruits. Although I would have liked some extra practices for the boys, hopefully our coaches can live up to their recruiting hype and get some great players.

Also, don't forget that the entire team can hit the weight room hard and get an early start on conditioning. in fact, I'm not sure why more teams don't purposefully throw half their games every year so they don't have to go to a bowl.

We won't have to interrupt holiday travel plans to make it to CU games!

I love the optimism glass half-full philosophy of this forum. I would agree with the general benefits of not going this year. However if we want to be consistently ranked in the top 20 recruiting classes we will need to start going to bowl games sooner or later. And eventually you wan to go a decade without going to a bowl game as a powerhouse school. That way people like me who live far away from Colorado can be assured to always see our Buffs on TV :) Although with the new Pac 12 network maybe that won't be a problem anymore.

Would love to be in a bowl game obviously but that's actually not a bad thought Tante, I'll be curious to see if it helps any.

:rofl:If we're 5-0 in 2014, we better toss away the last seven games, that's for damn sure. Why get the extra month of practices and massive exposure of a bowl game when you can go sub-.500 year after year? In fact, why ever improve on our current state when we can just sell "early playing time" forever? What's better than being 1-7 and getting pounded in the ass week after week?

Jesus guys, I know we're all dealing with the losing in our own ways, but WTF...really?? :fragez:
