My company has an EMD (Electronic Message Display) Division and I mentioned to the VP of sales that CU is in need of new video boards. Does anyone know with whom she should be in contact on this matter?

Even if new ones for Folsom have been ordered, there will still be some opportunities on the South Campus as those facilities are built & upgraded.

You moved to Texas. We ****ing better not buy our video boards from some ****ing Texas company.

There isn't a "video board" company located in CO. We use mostly Watch Fire product which is based out of Danville, IL. The only other company w/ product as quality as WF is Daktronics and they are based out of South Dakota, but have s**t when it comes to customer service and repair. Perhaps CU has Dak units now and that is why they still have the ugly green line....?!?!

Technically, if some Texas independent school district puts it's high school's gently used pre-owned video board on craigs's list, and CU bought it, that should be OK.

reed marks on buff chips last night

I call BS. If they aren't listed on the link I posted, they haven't even put them out for bid yet and that has stuff going back at least three years. Maybe they are working on it but they are required by law to solicit bids on EVERYTHING and if they've called for bids it would be there. I didn't hear what he said and maybe I missed it somewhere in that list, but without a bid nothing happens.

unless, say, someone donated the boards...

The boards they use now are from a company no longer in business. Not sure what the company was.

Even more reason to go with a product from a company that has been around for a long time and offers unmatched customer service.

I know CU is seriously considering daktronics for the new displays.

Like I said, good product, but poor customer service. They seem to have a "you're on your own once it's installed and we got paid" type of attitude.

but seriously, who do you think we should contact?

I want what OU has but that won't happen.
