... will join the SEC EAST and be Texas A&M´s permanent crossover partner.

They didn't want to break up Alabama and Auburn. Weird, though.

Sounds Kinky. I'm sure the yell leaders will like that.

Every team in the SEC has a designated rival in the other division and Mizzou will be aTm´s

SEC is also adding a 9th conference game, which will make things quite a bit tougher than they already are.

Just seems like a bad move to me. But what the hell? I could give a crap about any of our former league associates.

Actually, they´ve just denied the ninth conference game thing, but it´s a toughie. With 6 division games and one permanent rival, you only get to go to some places of teams in your conference once every 10 years.

I think what people are going to find is that 12 is the biggest a league can get and still have any semblance of what CFB is to most people. Larry Scott may end up looking like a genius again for keeping his powder dry.

With 14 schools, scheduling will be difficult. I think they'll need to do the 9 games eventually. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me to see a petition to increase the number of games from 12 to 14 in a year.

I saw something over on Rivals that the SEC is going to a 9 game format but I can't remember when it's gonna take effect.

Not a guy on a buffalo

Should be good in the long run for Mizzou and A&M, but for a while they are going to get their asses kicked me thinks. They will have similar success early in the SEC to CU and Utah's in the Pac. IMO.

Bad move? The Big 12 is falling apart, and we were lucky to get out when we did. I listen to sports radio in KC, and the Big 12 is really pissed about losing A&M and Mizzou. This will be the last year the basketball tournament will be played in the Sprint Center in KC. They are going to move it to Oklahoma City. KU is 30 minutes away from downtown KC, but the Sprint Center is on the Missouri side. KSU is only 2 hours away, so I don't have to tell you how pissed off they are about it. Sour grapes bigtime.

Both of those programs have alot of fan support and $. They could be very competitive - maybe not 1st place, but competitive unlike CU and Utah.

In the long run yes, I just don't see it right now. A&M has always been average at best in the Big 12, and Mizzou had a couple good years in the Big 12 and now they're 4-5. I do think they will do good, but teams like Bama, LSU, Arky and South Carolina are going to roll them. They should be competitive against Florida, Georgia, Auburn, etc. You can probably mark wins down for them with Kentucky and Vanderbilt.

So Missouri may win their first conference title since 1969 in the SEC which is a far harder conference because they have more fan support? Uhh okay.

I dunno, Mizzou is so far away from the rest of the SEC they'll be able to pull in the best recruits from the midwest and steal a few from SEC country. If they play their cards right I think they might be up there in the mix in a few years. Silly to say they are ready to win a title, but I see their recruiting becoming better than before.

I would take any highly rated player from the south over a highly rated player from the midwest sans linemen maybe. They are going to be the Ole Miss of the SEC.

I think Missouri will be a regular bowl team in the SEC. Doubt they become Ole Miss. They have a really solid in-state recruiting base and it usually comes down to how well they do in keeping guys at home.

why would missouri be able to pull away the best recruits from the midwest? their best recruiting right now in the post-Chase Daniel era is from Texas.

If the SEC keeps an 8 game conference schedule (which they will want to), then getting to a bowl game for Missouri shouldn't be too hard. They'll do the typical thing all weak SEC teams do: schedule 3 SunBelt teams and 1 FCS team. But once you get to 9 conference games, things get a lot harder...

Alabama has some of the biggest pull in the SEC and they'd never want to give up the 3rd Saturday in October against Tennessee (both ways, actually).

Has anyone else completely stopped caring about what all these other conferences are doing now that the Pac12 has told UT to **** off? It is all outside noise. Its there, but it sure don't matter.

 Missouri hasn't won a conference title in football since 1969 and they are joining the SEC? Hilarious.

Yup. Their conference 'title' in '69 was shared. That's it.

...But they totally ruled the Missouri Valley Athletic Association though.

Do you see conference title? All I see is competitive. Uhh okay.
